According to Jim irsay, he will be out awhile. Not sure how long that is but we can consider the colts out of the playoff picture.

That leaves us with potential wild cards in my opinion:

Jets, ravens, chiefs and a long shot Oakland. Miami needs to beat the jets twice and knock off Kansas city on the road. There is a legitimate chance Miami can sneak in with everyone putting them down.

It starts week 1 against the evil empire. Go phins !!

Ps.. Happy new year anyone, enjoy the ride

If there is a year to sneak in, this is it.

The AFC North will send two teams, the Steelers and Ravens are just to well run. The AFC South is in shambles, and if the Texans don't lock up that division their entire coaching staff should be fired immediately after week 17. The AFC West will have the Chargers, as the Chiefs are dealing with injuries and a new offensive coordinator for Matt Cassel(his third in 3 years). Im not worried in the least about Oakland. They had one of the easiest schedule in the NFL last season and still went 2-8 outside their (easy) division.
That being said, do not be surprised if Denver makes a push. They run defense is probably worse then last years(i know, tough to believe, but they cut players and the ones they replaced them with are injured), but their pass rush will be something fierce. Doom is back and Miller was a force in preseason. Couple that with John Fox and an improved run game, they could win 9 games this season.

In order to make the playoffs, we really only have to take care of our division. We have to place higher then the Jets, which means winning around 10 games or so. We take care of business in our division, we can go to the playoffs.

Though awhile off, it also may allow the Colts to sneak into the Andrew Luck Sweepstakes, not so good!
