With all that is going on with the positive (rumored) drug tests at the combine, I think this will cause a major shake up in the draft. I know the FO is grinding the mill to maximize our position, I'm just anxious to see what kind of effect this will have on us seeing that other clubs will also have to evaluate their big boards.

Interesting... I think this takes all the non-elite players get either taken off our draft board completely or at least moved down a bit.

I think the elite players like Raji become more intriguing because originally, they seemed out of reach of #25 but now since they are being lowered on other boards, become more realistic.

In short, Raji becomes available and is elite and becomes within reach.

Personally, I wouldn't touch any of the players mentioned. The risk/punishment of another failed test isn't worth a roster spot.

With above being said, business wise
At least a clause requiring forfeiture of pay up to and including the signing bonus portion.

I think is Raji falls to the mid first round expect Miami to make a move to trade up.

I think it will cause us to spread drug rumors about top prospects to get them to fall to us at #25 and also sabotage their brownies with weed if necessary.

Parcells , IMO is not a gambler. Every one of the prospects that failed the drugs tests will be dropped much lower, or totally off the draft board. They are considered a risk and i am thinking that he will steer clear. During the interview with Ireland he said they debate players pros and cons. If you think failing a drug test is NOT a very big con you are living in a dream world. One of the trifecta will bring it up and it makes a solid argument for NOT drafting someone.

I think Parcells gets his rocks off by betting on horses, not football players.

This being said, there has been no offical report yet so this could be just a smokescreen (no pun intended)
:chuckle:

I don't have a link, but if Harvin failed a drug test, he won't be a Dolphin. Besides that, I really don't see the Dolphins drafting a WR in round 1.

Me neither. why you ask? Because they are going to select Ramses Barden in the second round...
