With Seth getting the start...........

Do you think that with Seth getting the start, it might allow us to call some running plays up the middle? Seth has a mean streak and seems to have the strength to get that push up the middle against the larger, stronger DT's. Ruddy seems to be losing a step. He also doesn't seem to be able to handle the bigger/stronger DT's in the league.

Perhaps... but wasn't there some reasonable question raised about Seth making the line blocking calls? I'm thinking the Ravens use a 3-4 defense, which might make the calls a little trickier.

One concern: Wade Smith may have his hands full already, and I don't think he -- simply being a rookie at LT -- is gonna be able to overcome any uncertain or erroneous blocking assignments.

He knows the assignment well enough. Sometime has trouble with blitz pickups and quick DT's but in the run blocking category he will get a much better push than ruddy up front.
