do you think we've upgraded our secondary. Don't get me wrong, I feel that Reggie Howard's play has been erratic at best but do you think Jackson and Thomas will be any better? You may say "they can't be any worse" but I think what's going to happen is that whoever is out there w/ Madison and Daniels will be the CB that is picked on, abused, and sometimes burned (although I'm hoping that these guys somehow play great).

Well, you're right, it can't be any worse. The CB we put out there will surely get picked on. We have to hope he can step up and be a pleasant surprise for us. IF he continues in Howard's footsteps and gets burned regularly, then we need to try another route to get that help we need at DB.

anybody hear anything about terrel buckley.

No news. I was really hoping to grab him. He can't hurt. He's seen it all and, though he gives up a play from time to time, he seems to always be worth about 3 or 4 INTs. The downside is that who will we cut to put him on the active roster. IF we cut Howard now, there is bound to be a reasonable cap hit for it. Besides, as bad as Howard is, we still need him for depth. We'd more than likely have to make a move at some other position.

If Eddie Jackson plays the ball the way he did against Carolina, he will be fine.

I am a little surprise Saban hasn't snatched Tbuck up for a year, ever little helps at this point....plus he would be cheap.

I think he was actually quoted as saying that he had no interest in bring TBuck in. I don't know what that's all about, as I also agree that any help would be good help.

E Jackson will be fine as a nickelback, but i doubt whether he will be a starter. howard will be probably be able to fill that role, so Saban has probably pencilled in jackson as a starter in the future. I aint sure he is capable of that , but i Not questioning Saban

i think the one thing about reggie howard that gets overlooked is he really is a pretty good tackler. i mean, when you give up all those catches you get pretty good at tackling because you get lots of practice. woot woot!! nah serious, reggie has been really solid in run support and because saban demands that from his corners, i think reggie has been able to stay on the field as long as he has despite his poor pass coverage. so that's what i'd like to know about eddie jackson. is he a good tackler, and not only in coverage after the catch but in run support as well. i know that he'll be the nickle back and you dont see alot of 3 wr runs, but when teams try to pop a run here and there from 3 wr sets can he make an open field tackle?
