With the signing of Allen, what happens to Daniels?

Do you guys think he'll move to FS? Assuming Poole comes back 100%, I think Daniels may move. I know it is early, but would like to know your thoughts on this. From what I understand, Daniels played FS in college.

Just wondering....
 
With Allens signing, I`d very surprised if Poole cracks the starting lineup at corner, more likely he`s a nickel. I think Daniels stays put as the starter opposite Allen.
 
Daniels will either stay at CB or move to the nickel slot depending on how Poole plays during camps. Poole was 1st round talent, remember, and was "the steal of the draft"...literally as voted by the sports community...as we picked him up in the 4th round. If Poole's healthy...he'll be starting imho.
 
I agree with those who believe that if Poole is close to how he was before the injury, he is a starter. That knocks Daniels back to dime corner. I think if that happens, he is more valuable as a safety.

Keep the dream alive Jimmy. He'll play at nickel before Saban ever moves him to safety.
 
How does he move from starter to dime? He's not Reggie Howard you know... Saban has repeatedly stated that he wants Daniels as his nickel back, and it looks like he'll get his wish
 
poole will def be a starter i mean come on the kids amazing and daniels will move to nickel
 
All depends on how his injury heels (I believe it was a knee he popped pretty good coming down awkwardly from a jump in practice). If he can't make the cuts etc. like he used to.....he won't get the nod. I don't think it was an extremely serious injury (ala Daunte or Willis McGahee style) so I think it looks positive for him unless he reinjures it again.

That was really more a general statement. I'm concerned about their knees as well, but it seems unlikely to me given the numbers that everyone who worries about Poole's knee also went on record as concerned about Pepper's.

I`m sure with Culpepper being chosen instead of Brees, people are just kind of assuming Dauntes knee will be just fine (hope they`re right!!). Pooles return to health is pretty damn important too, though. Regardless, if we can have Allen, Daniels, Poole, Hill and Goodman all ready to go come Week 1, then I will be very happy! That`s a good group of cover guys imo...much better than last year.

Depends on Poole, if he is able look as good or better as he did in his rookie year, then I think when Saben drafted Daniels, it was to one day have him play Safety, and I think it would be an advantage for Miami to have a safety that can do such a good job of coverage. In the mean time I think depending how good Poole looks, Daniels will be playing in the Nickle defense.
