That's not true about having to be smart to coach at Stanford. Jim Harbaugh coached there he's about as smart as a box of nilla wafers.
 
Shaw isn't a bad idea. Ross made one trip out to Stanford for the guy he wanted, now maybe he needs to make another one. This time without Jeff Ireland, who by that point will have hopefully cleaned out his office and been escorted off the premises.
 
I think that speculation about a possible next coach is inappropriate. We have a good man in Joe Philbin and we are narrowly losing some games that we should have won. Poor pass rush defense by Clabo, poor decision that led to a pick 6 from Tannehill, poor play calls from Sherman, and a missed field goal from Sturgis, doesn't make Philbin a bad coach to be chucked out mid-season. Let's observe what can be done from here before throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
I still support our coach, but he needs to show visible leadership to turn it around. I'm still rooting for Joe.

I have to agree with you. I would rather have a coach that has already been a NFL coach. No more rookie coaches needing 5 years to figure the game out.
A confident coach that can lead men...that knows how to get maximum effort from their players.
 
I think Sporano is still available? lol no but seriously I'd say Bill Cowher if he wants too. I am afraid of College coaches.
 
We should go get Bob Hordenberg, dude is a proven winner. Never coached a losing team in his LIFE, yet no one refernences him. Smh. Hordenberg is the guy the fans should be rallying for.

Call me crazy but I´d give Philbin another year unless TONY DUNGY comes to the phins, he is the real deal, no doubt.

Not a big Dungy fan myself. He could never win with the TB team and the only reason he won in Indy because Peyton and that offense got them there. He's too soft of a coach. Very good DC but to me he would have zero success here. Has the same personality as Philbin
