Just saw the movie! Ladies and Gentlemen don't know what faith each of you may have but this movie is great because it is about FOOTBALL and our own TONY NATHAN!

your thread inspired me to rent and watch the movie. My wife and I enjoyed the film very much. I was a big Tony Nathan fan when he was here but I had no idea about his back story. Pretty wild.

Have not seen this movie yet but I remember seeing the thread that Albert started a while back. Definitely interested especially after reading the synopsis of it! Thanks for the reminder to watch this one boys!

Our church did its weekly teaching lesson using this movie as the main theme.

It was interesting to see parts of the movie and the message taught by our church. I never did see the whole movie but will watch it soon. I didn't realize till the end that the main colored character was depicting our own Tony Nathan. Also took my first job out of college in Birmingham in 1982 a little after this happened. Wasn't aware of any of it at the time. After 6 months of living by myself and being broke I got a different apartment and roomed with a colored friend that I had met. Some of the hate was still around 10 years later. Got to see it first hand.

I've always said I wished Tony would've played with Dan for at least most of his career. I think he was the perfect back for Marino. Dan had him for his last four years. I wish it would have been longer.
