Woody close to signing w/lions

If Woody goes to Detroit, we need to get Tait. If Tait goes to Chicago, we need to get Woody. It's as simple as that.

I love the Jeno signing, but we need one more big name o lineman and then we can sign a second teir guy after that and our o line will be complete.

Wade Smith
Jeno James
Seth McKinney
Damien Woody
Adam Meadows
 
An NFL source said the Lions were close to signing Woody to a frontloaded contract that includes the largest signing bonus ever given to an interior lineman in free agency. The current record was set last year when guard Randy Thomas received $7 million from the Washington Redskins.

The bottom line is it is going to come down to offers the most money for Woody.

I would rather have J. James at LG and sign either C.Coleman or B. Williams for the RG spot.

Sorry, but Woody is not worth that much for a gaurd.
