im worried guys. who is going to be our up and coming JT when he retires? i think lawson is a must pick but id' also love J williams and C. Jackson. what do you guys think can happen or should happen? we need to replace JT when he leaves as he has won us soo many games and we need taht type of player that is a constant playmaker. he is like freeney. we need someone of that nature and once he goes we wont have anyone near him.
 
There will never be another JT.

And he isnt retiring any time soon.
 
cannot replace a jason taylor. You just can't and to expect someone to become him, is even more wrong. When jason taylor does retire, the entire defense will change because of it.
 
Zach should be the bigger concern. His body has taken a pounding over the years. He may only have 2 seasons left in him. J.T strangely hasn't been as bad injury wise despite being one of the lighter DE's in the league. Outside of that foot injury he had last year he's been relatively healthy and might play another 3-4.

dude you guys need to chill out and stop taking things so damn literally. i meant as in who can come in to be our new JT no one said the same guy man. point is, we need to find another playmaker of his calibur no one said exactly like him relax ppl
 
JT will be around for a while. I think it will be very hard when we do need to "replace" him. His leadership skills and heart will be the hardest

that donest worry me it scares the poop outta me. i figured tahts why we want peterson or lavar so bad b/c they are only 27 and they are top notch LB so when ZT does leave we wont be left with only CC has our hopefully by then great LB but with 2 and we can draft one depending on CC staying at OLB or MLB and fill the one that becomes open. look at Pittsy, Porter was HUGE on blitze's tahts why we want taht blitzing OLB in one ofthe 2.

I think we're just saying its impossible to predict because JT will not be retiring any time soon. But, Channing Crowder and Julian Peterson (hopefully) are or will be big time playmakers.
 
I think this could be Zach's last year. His dead cap hit is relatively low after this year, and I think in year 3 you will see Crowder as our MLB if he continues to progress this year. JUST MY OPINION

But you do realize that by the time we are looking at a replacement situation, we will have options in FA and first round draft picks. We dont have to find diamonds in the rough, per se.

Werent we saying this last year before he had a career year in Nick's defense?
