9. Tony Lippett, CB, Miami Dolphins

Against the Ravens, Miami cornerback Byron Maxwell allowed just two receptions for nine yards and recorded himself an interception. On the other side, however, Lippett allowed a catch every time the ball was thrown his way. His receivers caught eight passes for 130 yards and a touchdown, and when he was targeted in the loss by Ravens QB Joe Flacco, he gave up a perfect passer rating of 158.3.

Poor guy! Hope he has amnesia.

Maxwell also forced a fumble - his 4th (!!) FF on the season. That was, and still is, a very underrated aspect of his game. Unless he collapses, you can lock him in as a starter for 2017.

He got blasted way too much early on when the whole team was a total mess. Ironically hes just like Kiko, great at some things and very bad at others. It makes you pull your hair out sometimes, but you have to live with the bad to get the good. Ideally he is our #2 and Xavien progresses to a shutdown #1 guy. He reminds me a lot of Xavier Rhodes who also took a couple seasons to fully reach his potential.

Both of them can be hidden if the rest of the defense is good. But when the team has glaring weaknesses around them they can't be hidden. Their warts stick out

Lippett has played well at times. I wonder what happened to him.

**** PFF with a pitchfork.

I've seen more reliable news from The Onion.

I agree.

Byron Maxwell is a damn good CB. Thank you Joeseph for making him good again.

I would speculate that his marginal technique fell apart on an iffy field. He is in year two of his conversion, and I am not surprised that he struggled on that field. I am surprised he performed that badly. There is no question that Howard should share time or replace Lippett.

Soft ass corners........

Maxwell has played well...he and Howard should form an above average boundary duo. Really do need to address the nickel going forward, do not like the idea of McCain starting in that spot again next year. Safety we should be fine with the trio of Rambo, Jones, and Quiddus.

We got zero rush. CB play looks worse when a qb has all day to throw.

Perhaps he was still learning the new defensive schemes.
Since the benching, he has been playing very good football, especially with the takeaways. I think his ranking is in the top 30 CBs as well. Ranked #7 in PBUs.
