#1. ????????????????
#2. Ginn/Wilford
#3. Hagan/Wilford
#4. Bess / Hagan/ ??????

i challenge anyone to find a worse group of recievers as of right now in the NFL.... not to mention we have an unproven tight end and a bunch of unproven quarterbacks.

i think our running game and defense will be very solid this year, but our passing game/points scored a game should be near the bottom.

Very true at this point we have among the worst set of receivers on paper but lets not forget there will be some cuts. I would agree we have a better top three than Tenn but overall they have more legitimate receivers.

Lord give the recievers a dang chance let's see what happens with some new coaching, TC Hitting and competition for playing time before you start flinging the negative bombs

Baltimore, Chicago, Minny, Jags dont have much of a threat outside of Porter, Atlanta, San Fran possibly, Philly possibly... To say we have the worst recievers in the league is very wild. there are plenty of teams you can make that case for. Are we toward the bottom, eh, probably, are we the worst, I dont think so. We have alot of new changes coming for the position, how about playing 1 game before we decide the fate of our recieving core

Also, dont forget something else, even if we do have very minimal WR talent currently, we will have an EXTREMELY strong running game, that in of itself could transform our recieving game into a credible threat. The fear of our running game should force defenses to put 8 in the box, opening up the passing game tremendously, given our WR's can catch the balls

We are very thin at WR, but there is a chance Ginn will really blossom and become a star in this league. That isn't just homerish hope, that is a very real possiblility. Wilford is a pretty solid #2 possesion type reciever so he compliments Ginn nicely.

After that, there isn't much to brag about. Hagan could be very good, but he needs to learn how to catch the ball. After Hagan though, there is a whole lot of bodies. Hopefully some young guys like Bess step up, but you can't expect much from them.

Fact is, Parcells/Ireland couldn't fix all the problems in one offseason. This is likely a three year plan, and year one is about building the team from the lines out and getting a quarterback to groom. Next year and the year after is when they will likely target the skill positions such as reciever.

i really hope ronnie brown comes back 100% health.. i forgot how much of a threat he is in the short passing game

Baltimore-
Derrick mason and Marck Clayton as starters
Demetrious Williams as a backup, Yamon Figures as a project
Basically what we have after that
Mason is a pro bowler with a 100 catches last year and Clayton has proven to be marginally better than Wilford. willaims adn hagan cancel each other out. Based on having a multi year probowler they have a better corp than us.

Jags-
Jerry Porter , Reggie williams, Dennis Northcut and Troy williamson
Just by shear numbers and experience they have a better corp.

Chicago-Brandon Loyd, marty Booker, Mark Bradley, Rashied Davis, Devin Hester and Earl Bennet. You could make an arguement that thiers is worse but they definately have more depth at this point. On paper our closest as far as weakest.

Atlanta-
Roddy white became a star last year over 80 catches from bad qbing,
Laurent Robinson was every bit as good as Ginn as a rookie with 37 catches, Joe Horn was injured alot.Michael Jenkins was better than any of our three last year. Atlanta clearly has a bettercorp than us,

Philly-
Kevin Curtis had 77 catches over a 1000 yards, Brown had 60 catches.
They have a more refined Ginn clone in Jackson, they also have Hank Baskett, GreG Lewis and Jason Avant. Thier corp is head and shoulders above ours.

San Francisco-
Bruce may be getting up there but he still had 55 catches last year,
Bryant Johnson was the receiver I wanted us to sign over Wilford and think he is a better overall option, Arnez battle had 50 receptions last year, Jason Hill is a fast promising draft picke that did not play much at all last year. and they have Ashly lelie. Not a great corp but slightly better than ours.

Minnesota
Berrian is definately much betterat this point to any one we have and had 70 catches last year. Sidney Rice had a similar season to Ginn and no reason to think either player is head and shoulders above the other. Then they have Robert Ferguson and Bobby Wade with Allison as a project. They are clearly ahead of us at this point.

I think maybe Chicago and Tennesee are the only teams that can even be closely as bad as us at receiver at this point.

im surprised noone has mentioned the broncos..sure they have rod smith but isn't he hurt alot? after that they have keary colbert, cliff russell(ex-phin),glenn martinez, samie parker, marquay mcdaniel, brandon marshall and darrell jackson and im sure im forgetting someone but thats off the top of my head.

Brandon marshall had a 100 catches last year, he is far and away superior to any guy we have.

Keary Colbert, samie parker and Darrel jackson have all been starters with jackson having alot of success.

They also have Brandon Stokley and drafted eddie Royal in the second round. This is not even a close comparism to our corp, we are way behind them.

stokely..thats who i was forgetting. is this the same darrell jackson that played for seattle? as far as marshall i didn't know he was that good as i don't watch alot of donkey games but my father in law is a diehard fan and he is always complaining about the recieving core. samie parker ive never heard of.
