Thinking about this team, I think 2 variables that may be the difference betweeen a below average and above average season for Miami are Reggie Bush's ability get 15-20 touches a game and stay healthy, as well as the development of Gates as a deep-threat, game-changing kind of player. We all know what Marshall/Bess/Hartline give us, and I'm not over the top psyched about Moore or Thomas, but I think Gates could potentially make Miami a much better offense. Would love to see him get 3-5 grabs a game, and a few in the 30-40+ yard variety. I think he can open of the field and create 1-on-1's for Marshall unlike anyone else on the roster. I sure hope they give that a shot early and often this year. We're about to find out.

sorry, meant Wallace, not Thomas... no clue why I said that.

First play ... Brandon , Bess on the left , Gate wide right. Bush motions left to take saftey that way. Gates one on one.
TOUCHDOWN

Im hoping Gates can have the type of season Eddie Royal did for Denver his rookie season. If he does I think we are playoff bound.

Lets hope Henne has the accuracy to hit him in stride.

I'd love to see Gates make a big play or two, but he'll have to be open first. This is no longer pre-season

Henne said he's going to throw a bunch of short passes to get his feet wet. I'm betting that he goes deep to Gates play 1.

I'd really like to see us spread them out like they do to us all the time. Run some 4 wide sets at them and see how they respond. Line Gates up outside and let him run the 9 route, if they have safety help over the top then Marshall, Bess or Hartline should be open somewhere.
