If so, i'd like to hear your arguments.

Here's mine. I'd do it in a heartbeat. Because this team is soooo bad, that there is not one single position that you can draft that would have an immediate impact on wins and losses other than the QB position assuming whoever we picked was actually good.

for example, if we picked a probowl caliber DB, OL, LB etc... that one player would not impact wins and losses as much as a good QB. Knowing that, I'd draft a QB without hesitation assuming there is one available that i feel can be a franchise guy.

Anyone disagree?

Initially, I'd want to trade down because tannanbum raped this draft of picks, but if one of the top guys are there, I'd do it. I've seen enough.

What qb would be winning on this team? Just curious. Is a rookie going to step in and instantly light it up?

On the flip side, you claim that x, x, or x won't influence a game. I disagree, a great pass rusher can take over games. A great corner can eliminate a whole side of the field.

And I'm on the fence with Tannehill, I'd like to see him have a fair chance to succeed. But this season it feels like he's been shellshocked. I still support him no doubt, but we need improvement. Say we manage 6-10 again, is it his fault for trying to win games? No that's his job- hell maybe he lights it up the second half of the season and we still finish with a lousy record. He's already 28 (?)... not getting any younger

you never pass on a potential franchise QB. If we have a top 5 pick this year, we should take advantage of that by selecting a QB. Otherwise next season we could win 6-7 games and miss out on the top QB prospects.

I disagree this year. The value at the top of this draft is not a QB. Not even close this year. We either take Myles Garrett ( assuming we have #1 over all) or we trade down. So..... Unfortunately for us..... A QB in round 1 isn't the best move.

Considering going back to TBum signing Patrick Ramsey as a FA, through Clemens, Favre, trading up for Sanchez, then unnecessarily extending him instead of drafting Russell Wilson as urged, not doing due diligence of drug addict Ainge, etcetera and so forth, I'd have no confidence in drafting a first round QB if he's calling the shots.

We are not one player away from winning, plan for the future and draft the most important position. quality CB's, DE can be found all through the 1st round and free agency, not so much QB's.

Similar to the browns' approach?

Did you even read the original post?

thus, what I said is a direct response to that. So which "sure fire franchise qb" is in the draft? Plenty of discrepancies there

We've only drafted 3 QB's in the first round in the franchise history and two became hall of famer's. Its not like we've been drafting QB's left and right. I hardly even count Pat White.

Browns have only used one top 5 pick on a QB....and im sure they are kicking themselves for passing on Wentz, that could be us next year if we pass on a QB, thanks for proving my point more.

Lol browns are taking first round qbs nearly ever other year come on now.. making it have to be a top 5 pick doesn't mean much. The point is- plenty say draft a qb every year until you find the guy. I don't care the browns picks aren't all in the top 5. They do what you guys want them to and still haven't found the guy

If that QB is a game-changer absolutely. Miami needs to offload some veterans so they can get some picks back. They won't be able to do much with just a 1, 2, 5, 6, and 7.

I'm talking about Tannenbum's swings and misses on QBs... if a present Dallas back up to the backup is his claim to fame, do you really want him to have the final say?

But they have only used one top 5 pick to select a QB. that's where you were wrong with your argument, got back and read what I said.
