Do you think one of the reason he signed Seau was to get any extra he could on what the dolphins are doing? I know they neede LB help but could that have helped him make a move on Seau?

It's possible. Seems like the Pats sign someone we cut or don't bring back every year. We have two new coordinators though, and I don't believe Seau has worked with us this offseason at all.

No... They brought in Seau because then needed someone to fill in til Bruschi returns which nobody seems to know exactly when that is. We don't play Miami till week 5 If I'm not mistaken so there will be enough game film by then to see what the dolphins are all about and besides its not like Saban invented some new defense, most of what he uses he got from the master himself Belichick. This plus the fact that we already had T-Buck back so why would he lay out a $ 1 million to Seau for info. Seau was a best option at the time signing to shore up the ILB position and his role will be different than in his past. I'm sure he'll offer any information that T-Buck hasn't already given about the Miami defense but all players moving to different teams with in the division do that.

I think you got that part backwards...If I'm not mistaken, Saban was Belichick's D-Coor. back in the day and is the one that pretty much gave his defensive philosophies to your guy.

Either way, it doesn't really matter...these two guys know each other very, very well.

I really doubt that Saban and Belichick dont know each other well enough to need to do this.

No. Besides, Seau hasn't even seen our defense under Capers.....

They brought in Seau because Bruschi is hurt, and he may miss some games this year as a result. The guys they have behind Bruschi weren't getting it done, so BB thought he should bring in a player with more experience. Seau signing with the Patriots, should not have any impact on the Miami Dolphins what so ever....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

1. You've definitely got that backwards, Saban was Belichick's DC and Belichick even said himself he learned most of his defensive mastery from Saban.
2. Seau has too much class to act that way.
3. We have a new DC in Capers who's put lots of new wrinkles in that Seau has no knowledge of.
4. Pats really need Seau, they are weak at LB due to injuries.

Why would Seau even want to play there? Boy is he gonna be pissed when we go to the superbowl, not the pats!!:dolphins: :tantrum: :dolphins:

I didn't even think about that... Yeah, I think its possible. You know that Saban has to be pretty pissed about that, not to mention us Dol-fans...

No.

1. Both coaches know each other very well.

2. Dom Capers is bringing a bunch of crazy new looks and schemes for the defense.

3. All the audibles and words used have changed.

4. It's all on film, which every team in the league has access to, so there's nothing Seau can really offer.

Dude Seau is not an ILB. They will move Mike Vrabel inside and put JR on the OLB
