If we want to make a SUPERBOWL run I think we have to give up something to get quality athlete in another position. As much as I like Ricky if someone offers the right price like a 1st rd pick or a quality player I think they have to do it. Trust me I want ricky on miami (I didnt spend $230 on authentic jersey for nothing) but I want a Superbowl more. What's your thought.

I DEFINITELY think Ricky's value to OUR team has shot up. We should do everything in our power to make sure he remains a Phin next season. The R&R Express would really look nice next season while we're making our playoff run. :D Hopefully we'll re-sign him if he doesn't expect TOO much. If not, his trade value will indeed be improved, especially after a game like this.

i think we keep both, and today is a perfect example of why. if one guy goes down, you need that other guy.

Ricky is costing us next to nothing to keep on the roster, and even though he will have built up trade value, we won't get a first for him.... anything less than a first, i'd say forget it - he's worth more to us to keep him.

Hey if the price is right...we keep both....they both proved thru out the season that they CAN co-exist...that this is a team sport...and winning is the bottom line. Salary cap is also the bottom line....and if both are affordable...which i think they are...KEEP them.

Keep Ricky!!! BUT his trade value shot up with today's performance.

Id like to keep Ricky too. But one thing is for sure now- Ricky is going to want to get paid after this season. He isnt going to be satified with the peanuts he is making now.

Are the Fins going to spend a lot of money on another RB? Hell no. They have already got 30 million in Ronnie Brown. There are other positions that they will need to spend money on such as QB, CB, and OL.

And the way Ricky is playing now, with the contract he is under- makes him very attracive to other teams.

I think if the Fins need to move a couple spots to take a QB- and there is a team out there that needs a RB, something could happen. A good place for him would be Arizona. Ricky and our 1st rounder for Arizona's first rounder.

Ricky is still under contract through next year.... so it won't be until 2007 that we would have to pay up. PLUS he still owes us $8 mill....

We need to go about it the same way KC did with Priest and LJ. When Priest went todwn, L J didn't miss a beat, and that offense hasn't stuttered at all. L J was in the coaches doghouse, he was trade bait up until last year, and now look at him. I say as long as the price is right, keep them both!

What I thought of today was that maybe Ronnie has incentives in his contract that he cant reach splitting carries. In this case, Ronnie may get a little un-happy, causing a problem. Not saying it will happen, just a thught I had. Ricky would surely be the one to go in that situation. Just throwing something out there

The Fins are not going to pursue that 8 million anymore.

the arbiter ordered ricky to pay... it has nothing to do about if they want to pursue it, they are owed it. Ricky will be paying it back through his earnings... whatever his salary was this year + next year will be paid back through that owing... so in essence he is playing for free right now and next year.

tylerdolphin - i don't think ronnie can be THAT upset... he signed a 30 million dollar contract, if he doesn't reach a certain incentive, and him being a rookie, he's in no position to complain or cause trouble over it.

I would love to keep Ricky because Ricky a very good Rb.

but can the the Fins keep both Ricky and Ronnie
same as San Diego with there QB's

Yes Ricky cost the the Fin's very little in cap space
But I'm sure Ricky want to be pay (show me the money)

We all love RW now but can he be Replace are is he a top 5 back in this League

I think this was addressed in the initial contract by where and how much he gets. Someone said he got one bonus at 750 yards and 1350 was the next payday...I think.
