I know its a mute point and I also know many of you are still emotional with the loss.. But would Pennington have played well enough for the win today?
Henne is not the reason we lost. He was part of the reason, but remember this team was down 24-6 and the Titans had 300 yards of total offense midway through the third quarter. It was an impossible situation that we ALMOST pulled off BECAUSE of Henne. With Pennington in that situation how would we ever have come back? Mr. Efficiency and short passes.
like the above poster said qb play is the leas of our worries . we need a stud at defenseive end, safety , linebacker, tightend and another big runningback Hell I maight even say that we micht could use two more tightends that can do both pass catching and blocking.
can you guys imagine what woulod hapen if Henne had two really good tightends and a dominate wr ?
I think we ought to bring in another runningback as well Hilliard may not be a good enough back but we will see.
Pennington's done, Henne wouldn't be throwing the INT's if he wasn't always put in the position of being the saviour and having to make miraculous comebacks which he usually does. Give the guy some quality recievers that get open and it's a whole different ballgame.
If you wan't to blame it on someone blame it on Ginn for the lack of a deep threat, Blame it on Ronnie being hurt for the lack of a big threat in the running game. Those two things alone are huge deficiencies for any team right now let alone a rebuilding team, for them to be doing as well as they are right now given the circumstances is pretty freaking incredible.
This is the most rediclous thred i have seen the kid played his butt off and you want to know if pennington would have won. he made mistakes that every "rookie" would have made and now you want to bench him. i hate hearing stuff like this you should probably go like another team so that i dont have to read stupid things like this absolute waste of time!!!!!!
