It was the same at USC...not everything Sanchez does shows up on the stat sheet. The boy is just a fierce competitor and I know it worked well here, and seems to be working in NY...I've heard Henne described as a robot...well, Sanchez is the epitome of the opposite of that...take the QB away and compare rosters...are the Jets that much better than the Dolphins? Not to me, they aren't.

Who let the USC homer in here to tell everyone about how great everyone from USC is when they're really not... Nobody cares.

Back to the topic. How would replacing one god awful QB with another make us any better, nonetheless a superbowl contender, It wouldn't. Now let's get back to discussing serious topics like how the worst pass blocker in football is good depth shall we...

I'd feel alot better about going to the playoffs, that's for sure. People need to stop comparing Henne and Sanchez. Sanchez is a flat out better talent. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a moron. Sanchez is a little eratic, and inconsistent, but he's capable of making demoralizing plays to the opposing team. And he's got a swagger about him. Henne just ****ing blows.

When did I say everyone from USC is great? I have like 16 posts, you should be able to find that pretty easily...oh that's right, I never did say that...jackass...

If you put Henne on the Jets do they make the AFC champ game 2 years in a row?

Sanchez is good because the coaching staff in New York show confidence in him. As much as I hate the Jets that is the one thing they do better than most teams, they at least give their talent the chance to prove themselves because are willing to trust their talent to do the right thing. Unlike our coaching staff that has to micro manage every little thing to the point where our talent doubts itself. This is just my opinion, but I think it is pretty accurate.

That's tough to say, instinctively I would say no...however, I think he'd give you a better chance at making the playoffs, where he's definitely been better than the regular season...meaning I suppose it's possible..but admittedly unlikely.

I'm not giving Henne the excuse of the coaches "micro managing" him. The Jets show confidence in Sanchez, because he gives them a REASON to do so. That's why they traded up to get him. He digests information far better than Henne. Sanchez reads defenses MUCH better than Henne. Sanchez was a stud in college, and he had a ridiculous season his senior year. Chad Henne? Michigan fans called him Dr. Choke, and he went O-four against Ohio State in his career.

There was no micromanaging when healthy Chad Pennington was quarterback. I wonder why?

Did you know that over two years, Sanchez has only two more passing TDs than Henne and the same amount of interceptions? In short: neither are that good. Although I wouldn't be surprised to see Sanchez have a breakout year this year because of the focus on continuity with the Jets.

You're right in the park of what I believe also. IMO that's the biggest difference with Henne and Sanchez's "situation". Here's the biggest difference between them:

Sanchez is a lot like Bret Favre. Will improvise when necessary, take shots to fit things in tight spaces, looks for the homerun, more energetic upbeat personality; Just downright looks like he's having fun.

Henne is more of a game manager (The Henne we've seen in a Dolphins uniform anyway). He's more methodical, will take the sure 15 yard completion over the less likely completed homerun longball, more quiet and reserved, much more analytical, not the go out there and sling it kinda guy.

Henne seems more afraid to make a mistake than Sanchez is. I don't know if that's more Tony and the coaching staffs fault, or just Henne's personality by nature. I think it may be a combination of both because Henne sure threw it up there a lot in college. He's a big reason why Braylon Edwards and Mario Manningham were highly touted. But the biggest difference to me is 1) personality and 2) the coaching staffs willingness to let him go out there and let 'er rip.

I believe the jets would have been a playoff team with Henne last year. I am not crazy about Henne, but I still feel like the supporting cast wasnt what it needed to be last year. This year, if Sanchez would get us to the playoffs, then I believe Henne can too. We have a supporting cast that is capable this year.

I'm talking playoffs, not Super Bowl. My point being, Sanchez and Henne are interchangable.

Ok. Ill back it up. The phins and Jets are similarly structured teams. Strong defenses. Power running offenses. Granted the Jets have a better te. But we have watched Sanchez perform well in the playoffs. We have watched Sanchez come from behind and WIN games. Be pissed all you want. If you are down by 4, with 2 mins left, how could anyone choose Henne over Sanchez. Its not supporting a Jet over a phin. Its not being a blind *** homer, who allows his hate of the Jets outweigh his objectivity.

You forgot, that as of last season a far better O'line & more accomplished OC, but still they had similar QBR (in fact Henne edged marginally). How is this defending your argument????????
