Re sign

Branch
Stills
Sims
Denney (if he comes back at his age)
tender kiko
jenkins (for decent price rotational off bench type contract)

Extend

Landry
Jones

Cut

Mario
Albert (if signing two big guard contracts)
Misi

FA signings

G Leary
G Warford (signing two higher priced FA guards likely means Albert and his salary gone for offset cost)
DE okafor
OLB (one of) Perry, chandler jones, Jarvis jones,Courtney Upshaw
CB Darius Butler (if he somehow gets away from NE I would take over McCain in the slot)
DT depth player logans or still

Draft

Rd1. Ruben Foster ILB Alabama--trade up with Cleveland at 12 for Earle Mitchell and our conditional 3rd if we get it (is that even fair I'm spitballing value for those ten spots) I would even do nexts years second I think he's that good and in position of huge need for us.

Rd2. David Njoku TE Miami -- get another target threat on O

Rd3. Conditional traded for Foster RD1

Rd4. Conditional DE Edge rusher

Rd5-6-7 Cb/Dt/Ol/S

what do do you guys think...

I don't think you can trade your compensatory picks.

But my god, Ajayi behind Leary AND Warford...that'd be insane!

Yes, you can now trade comp picks.

Darius Butler doesn't play for New England, he plays for the Colts. He doesn't play CB anymore, he is a full time safety, although he could maybe play some slot, but probably no better than McCain.

I like Foster a lot, but there are enough LBs in this draft that I think you still land a top one at 22 and keep that 3rd.

It's also going to take more than a late 3rd and mediocre vet in the last year of his contract to move up like that, though it would be hilarious to see the Browns draft a terrible QB with the 22nd pick for the FOURTH time, because you know they would.

I think you run out of money OP. You certainly can backload all of the contracts but you have to pay the piper eventually.

The move to 12 is going to cost you more than a late third (dont consider Earl Mitchell to have any tradeable value . . . Maybe a token 7th but you need at least a 2 to make that deal work). I agree with Gonzo that there is enough depth at LB in this draft without utilizing an additional top 100 pick to get one..

Ok scratch the trade up in draft. Would you drop Albert if we could sign Leary and warford?

Can you imagine Ajayi behind Tunsil-Leary-Pouncey-Warford-James

I would def use his salary to make that happen

Love the offensive line in that scenario.

Agree with others, not enough money to make all those moves. Probably a 1st and 2nd to get up for Foster. I love Foster. If he drops a little lower and becomes less costly in a move up than by all means.

Focusing on the offensive line in free agency makes sense. Then I'd go almost exclusively defense in the draft.

I would love it but we are not the only team with tons of cap space. I can see us getting one guard in FA like Warford but after that I think we are stuck with Albert who I actually think played better than given credit for. Also I don't think Foster will fall to 12. Guys like him don't grow on trees. Cinn would be a ideal landing spot for him. Cunningham or a DE at 22. I do like the scenario.

I think Miami is in a more unique situation this off season then in the recent past. Because we have some cap space, a REAL coach, and a playoff team, free agents may want to come here and we can negotiate properly with them.

I would definitely drop Albert to guarantee 2 bonafide starters at guard and kick Tunsil out.

Problem is you'll likely have to cut Albert prior to having either guy on the roster. So you better not strike out in Free Agency. You'll certainly look desperate with a dire need for 2 guards.
