would u pull a ditka for luck?

Luck would be dead w/in 2 to 3 seasons, since MIA would have no draft for the next 3 years at least. But hey a one armed qb is better than no arms.

i wil always struggle somewhat to understand my fellow dolphin fans obsession with QB. while i agree its the most important posistion, and we do need to grab a guy to bring up in our new system for the future, i dont think it should be rushed or that the whole team should be compromised for the nexe 2 or 3 years for one etc.

you would think dolphins fans would know better than anyone that simply a great qb cannot win it all for you, since we had maybe the best qb of all time and never won a superbowl .

no way id give all that up for a rookie who has never played a snap. if we were sitting there of course, but otherwise - no.

In a second. This notion that giving up 6 or 7 picks will cripple a franchise is ridiculous and the hyperbole that the qb would get killed trading a draft is nonsensical. Who in last years draft is so critical to our team that it would decimate our franchise if they were gone? Are you saying you wouldnt trade everyone from last years draft for Andrew luck? Ridiculous notion but not surprising given other posts I have read.

In fact, using hindsight, which is the last draft we had that you wouldn't trade those players for luck

It wouldn't be for 1 draft. To move up it would take MULTIPLE drafts. That is reality. And yes it would cripple a franchise.

It wouldn't take multiple drafts because indys not trading the pick for any price. But that wasn't what the op asked. He asked if you would pull a ditka and trade this years draft for luck. It's a moot question since Indy wouldn't trade that pick for 1 draft or multiple drafts. They know well enough the importance of a franchise qb

The sooner you stop living in 1990 the sooner you realize what happened with Dan Marino did is irrelevent.

If I was the guy in Indy I would make that trade. I would get all those picks, and just take RG3 instead. Not much of a drop off from Luck and get a boatload of picks in the process. Man Washington would be pissed as hell. LOL

It would take more than Ditka gave up just to be in the ballpark for Luck and there is nothing that would make them trade that pick. I would have given up what Wash did for RG3 though.

He can certainly tackle...

Sorry but this idea of who would he throw to, is just nonsense. Get a QB, then, and only then, should you be worried about anything else. You're not winning without QB. That's really all there is to it. The Colt's won't take a Ditka trade, they won't even take the next 10 first round picks from a team. They're not trading Andrew Luck, and that's that.

Sure a helmet to helmet hit on a guy who 1 second ago was bending over to pick the fumble up is all Luck

if i was the gm in indy i would do that trade in a ny second.you get the #8 pick in the first along with the rest of our picks including back to back in the 3rd.
