If i could guarantee you we wouldnt make the playoffs, (which i cant because there is still an outside shot)

Would u rather: Go 7-9 8-8 (somewhere in that range) and keep guys like joey porter to help us get there.

OR

Would u rather: Go 4-12 3-13 (somewhere in that range) and still be competitive but developing our youth like slowly working Davis into starting and somehow getting Gibril out of there and developing Clemons and some of our young WR's and Henne. And trade people like Porter who still have value (probably a 2nd) Then on top of that get a really high draft pick (top 5 or 7 or so) and get a guy like Eric Berry then have to 2nd rounders..

I would much rather win as many games as we can, in this case 8-8 or better if possible.

Just because teams draft low, doesn't garauntee the player we draft will be good.

Why is everyone of your threads about trading everyone? You certainly can't let this go can you!

If Wilson is garbage for us then why would anyone trade anything for him and his large contract. The only team that would want Porter is a contender that suffered an injury at that position and I don't know of any!

Just saying you want to trade this guy or that guy is easier said then done, there has to be a willing partner and proper compensation. If it was easy you'd see alot more trades happening.

Some fans love trades. The fact of the matter is most fans severely over value their teams own players. I'm short sighted, I can't think of the draft during week 4 of the season. So many 1st round draft picks are misses I can't see how anyone else can either. Can't we enjoy the season when its here and enjoy the offseason when it's here?

Because I dont think we are superbowl contenders next year and pretty safe bet we arent right now, IMO if joey porter isnt part of our future, (which i dont think he is) why wouldnt we trade him (if possible like u said). and i didnt mean trade Gibril necessarily, i guess i just hate him with a passion but if we could see what clemons has and work him in a little bit, thatd be great because i think he could be very good.

Look I think what NE was dumb as can be trading Seymour, he's a excellent DE and their Superbowl contenders. Now if they win it then BB is a pure genius, but I really think they've hurt themselves with this move. 5 years from now nobody will remember if this draft pick turns out great.

If you can get someone to overpay then go for it because we are not contenders, my point is that it's alot harder then people think to make trades happen during the season.

5 years from now, people will remember eric berry. unless Henne is a bust, i want him as our first pick no matter who is there (given he is still on the board..)
