No, because now we are relying on Baker Mayfield (who likely will not play), one 3rd rounder & one low 4th rounder to fill out our roster & contribute this year. We need more than that and 3rd and 4th rounders don't usually/always make much of an impact in year one.

Pick 6: Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma. The Dolphins send their second-round pick (No. 42 overall), their second fourth-round selection (No. 131 overall) and a conditional 2019 fifth-rounder to move from No. 11 to this spot to nab Mayfield. With Bradley Chubb off the board, the Colts are more comfortable moving back.

That's honestly a good price, whatever you think about the player.

If he can be a transformative franchise QB? Then absolutely yes.

No because I'm not totally convinced with Baker Mayfield and we need help in other positions so I would rather see us taking somebody in the 2nd.

But if it was to move up for Josh Rosen who I think is the best QB in this draft then I probably would.

Absolutely. All things football begin with the quarterback. Small price to pay in my mind to begin to move on from the tannehill experiment (mistake).

I’m ok doing it but I don’t think a QB is important to get at this time. The way this team looks. We be picking top 1 to 3 pick next year. We’re almost guaranteed to get top QB next year.

Sure, if they(meaning just Gase lol) thought he was good enough to become a franchise QB.
