As Barry Jackson pointed out, the first six quarterbacks the Dolphins will potentially face: Kirk Cousins, Blake Bortles, Tyrod Taylor, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Marcus Mariota, and Brian Hoyer. Also, only one of those teams finished above .500 last year (Buffalo 9-7). Dolphins will likely be favored (heavily in some games) to win all them. So would anything less than a 5-1 start be a disappointment to you?

IMO, quite honestly, I would be a little disappointed if the team did not start 6-0, mildly at 5-1, and extremely upset at anything less. If you are a true playoff contender and want a shot at the division, just about all if not all those games need to be won when you consider how brutal the remaining schedule is.

5-1 or 6-0 is a must. There are too many difficult games late in the season. The Dolphins need to pile up wins early so that they have a cushion later in the season. Yes, the Bills are a tough division opponent, but the game is in Miami (and if they want to be a playoff team, they need to beat the Bills). The Skins, Jags, Titans are teams that Miami SHOULD beat. Similarly, while the Texans D is very good, they should be weak on offense. It's unfortunate that the Jets game is in London. Regardless, every team in the first six opponents is beatable. One loss is acceptable. More than one loss will only lead to problems later in the season.

i would be disappointed, cause i dont like losing!!!

but 5-1 would be a great start with a lot of football left to go.... so, gotta keep playing and working!!!

finish the season strong and into the playoffs... OOOOOH BABY!!!

The season can play out in many different ways. The titans might come out of the gate and be undefeated when we play them. You just never know

Absolutely. Look at the quarterbacks in the first 6 weeks. I'll be disappointed if we're not 6-0 to be honest. This schedule has set up beautifully for us.

I would be disappointed at anything less than a 5-1 start. 6-0 would be ideal since the schedule gets painstakingly tougher after game 6. Of course they must finish strong as well.

Overall I think they need to go 4-2 in the division, beat the damn Ravens for a change, finally beat the Texans, go at least 2-2 vs the NFC and beat the other teams that they will be favored against. We have seen this team start strong before only to crash and burn to end the season against very beatable competition. They need to put an end to that trend.

Id be thrilled w 5-1 start. 3-3 would be disappointing. 4-2 is fair expectation.

I'm more concerned how we finish!

This. It's all that matters at the end of the day/season.

I agree that we need to finish better, but a win is a win whether it be in September or December. The point is, you need to be beat the teams your supposed to beat no matter what point that is during the season. Also, makes the games late in the season not necessarily "must wins" like in years past. The team could afford a loss or two, and it will not cripple their playoff hopes.

I'm fine with 4-2... 3-3 it doesn't look good...

I'm smiling at 4-2 or better.....those teams may not have great QB but their defenses are nasty, we will face 3 of the top 5 defenses in the conference in the that stretch......We have the easiest week 1 match up in our division, the Skins are a must win and the Jacksonville is a must win also then we must do no worse than split with the Bills and Jets and then must win against Tenn and then JJ Watt, Wilfork and Clowney are coming to town...if we get the 3 must wins and split with the division we will be 4-1 going into that game looking good.....and then looking at the rest of the schedule we are in trouble( pats, bills, eagles on the road, cowboys at home then the Jets on the road ravens and giants at home, at chargers home for colts and pats to end the season)this is the yr we have to sweep two division rivals to have a chance at the playoffs...

I think this is a very tough schedule this yr, with the improvements of Tenn, Jacksonville and Houston those games are winnable but tough. Throw in a Bills team with an offense and better D, a Jet team with weapons and better D....i can't find 10 wins for us without us going 5-1 in the division.......

I just want to win the divisional games and end up at least 3-3. I also want us to not fizzle down the stretch.

I would love 5-1 and it's realistic but won't be easy. A lot of ways you can win/lose outside of QB play + we've lost to some of these schlubs (or their equivalents) in the past...
