How do you feel about the season if we go 10-6 overall and 4-2 in the division, but we don't make the playoffs? This is a very possible scenario.
 
I'd be OK with that. It shows improvement and some consistency, obviously good enough to compete with anyone. You cant control what other teams do (unless you're playing them). 10-6 is good, and considering that there might be a 7-9 team make the playoffs this year from the NFC south I wouldn't be too bent.
 
hell no.....I wouldnt call for heads but I still would be pissed.....Id be like taking home a hot girl from the bar and she passes out or you realize you have wiskey dick!!!!!! Pissed
 
Right now Miami, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Baltimore, KC, San Diego and even Houston are fighting for 2 spots. I think the possibility of going 10-6 and not making the playoffs is very real. If that comes to fruition, I'll be disappointed to not make the playoffs but I'll take the progress of the team and specifically the QB as a nice alternative. I never gave them a chance at .500 when originally looking at the schedule and it has proven to be even tougher than expected.

That said, there will be no reason not to make the playoffs next year because the schedule will be much more favorable. AFC South and NFC East with Houston, Indy, Dallas and the Giants at home.
 
Every season I look at Fins (other teams) needing 10-6 to get in the post season. If you dont, its just bad luck.
So while it would suck to miss out with 10 wins, it would show we had a great season and can hope for better in 2015.....sure beats going 8-8.
 
I'd be mad we didn't make the playoffs but encouraged for next season. I'd probably be all hyped after the draft and free agency thinking that we improved and will finally contend for the division am make a run in the playoffs.
 
Not happy at all. I will be happy with the record, but pissed we aren't in the playoffs.
With how fast things change in the NFL 10-6 and missing out doesn't mean anything come next year.

More like taking that girl home and getting a handy. Much better than alternatives, better than your buddies got, but not all that you wanted.

I'd be content and excited about the future.
