Would you Ditka 2012 draft for luck or another qb

If we go 7-9 or lower again this year and Luck has a good year then yes, I would be willing to sacrifice all of our 2012 draft picks for the 1st overall pick
 
If henne has a horrible season, then yeah i probably would, i think we're set everywhere for like 5 years except LG RT RB and QB, i would do it for someone like Luck

Definitely. QB is the only clear need. And since most seem to be behind it, that's an added benefit, b/c regardless of whether it works out or not, they'd all have to shut their pie holes about the qb position since they wanted it that way.

Absolutely. Our only other needs are TE and FS, but having a good QB would make our TE problem look like less of one. Hell, I would trade our entire draft and Starks for Luck.
 
I love Ditka as a verb. Would I Ditka a draft for a RB? Hell no. For a franchise QB in Luck. Probably. Ditka's gamble really bit him when that number 1 pick the following year wound up being so high. I would trade an entire draft for Luck hopefully without giving up a 1st the following year. It's why I'd rather not be trading away picks for injury prone 3rd down backs when cheaper, better alternatives were available.

now this is something I can get into. answer is yes. But my reason is probably much diff than others and that is that Ireland can find undrafted guys who are good anyways for any leftover holes we may have. I think next year we will have alot of holes filled minus injury. nah. TE. Fasano will wear thin.
 
Thankfully next year's draft has 3 guys who are worthy of top 10-15 hype (unlike teams reaching this past year) That being said, I wouldn't trade the farm to get Luck and focus on either Jones or Barclay. Of course all this depends on all three maintaining their current level of performance and pro expectation. Chances are we will probably be a 7-9-10-6 (best case scenario) team which would most likely allow us to get one of those three. We'll see, also depends on what teams draft ahead of us and their needs.
 
If we picked between 10-13 then I'm sure all it would take is 2 number ones and two number two's in future drafts. I would have to consult the draft point chart and obviously a team that doesn't need a qb.
 
I would trade the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd picks in this draft, & the 1st rounder in the following year's draft for Luck (IF HE HAS A GOOD SEASON THIS YEAR WITHOUT HARBAUGH) ... we are a great QB away from maybe being the best team in our division .. we already have the best defense in our division, & a QB probably make our offense complete
 
In short . . . HELL YES. Ditka did it for a RB, we would be doing it for what many consider the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning. You damn right I do it and take a risk on a UDFA or 2 to pan out.
