Would you Ditka 2012 draft for luck or another qb

I wouldn't. No player is a for sure thing. If you trade your whole draft for Luck and than he turns out to be a bust than you just set your franchise back for a good 3-4 years.

Drafting a QB is always a gamble. I would never do this unless we had a crystal ball. Now, once the chips fall, and if at the end of the season we are in the "suck for Luck" race, I would definitely draft him.

We haven't won a Super Bowl in 39 years and the last successful QB we drafted was taken in the first round 28 years. I'm not worried about being set back 3 or 4 years for a gamble. We have been set back over a decade by not drafting a first round QB.

Luck is the closest to a sure thing that has come around since Peyton Manning.

YES! The problem is there might be 20 teams that might do the same.

As a fan of the draft, I honestly can't wait to see what kind of horse trading goes on next year. With the rookie salary cap in place, those top picks will be up for the highest bidder and the teams 'stuck' with those picks who have multiple needs can actually trade them away for multiple picks and rebuild quickly. It's going to help build parity, which is always a good thing.

Who wouldn't? Aside from Henne homers and those who simply have no clue what a great QB looks like of course...

Trade all ur picks to move up and pick first if its an option, remember the number one money is not such a negative anymore... just curious, have at it...

Not only would I do it, so would any other team that needs a QB. Hell, some teams that dont necessarially need a QB, would likely do it.

Thing is, Ditka'ing the draft wont get it done. Like I said before, if the team drafting #1 needs a QB(Washington) they arent trading that pick for anything. If that team dosent need a QB(Panthers, well they do need a QB, they just dont realize it yet and they ****ed themselves hard by taking Scam Newton) Ditka'ing the draft might not be enough to get the deal done this year. Not only is the best QB to come out in decades available, but with the new wage scale, the pick is more valueable than ever. Its going to take this years entire draft and probably next years #1 and another premium pick to slide into that spot. And yea, I would trade all of that too in order to get Luck.

See the thing is, whoever gets Andrew Luck, is going to have a good team at a minimum for years to come. They are going to make the playoffs on the reg and they are going to be SB contenders on the reg. Just like the Colts and Pats are every year right now. Just like the Falcons are going to be for a while. Thats how good Andrew Luck is and everybody in the league knows it.

We have no shot at getting Andrew Luck. Our defense is too good for us to go 1-15. And with John Beck starting for Washington, they are almost a lock to lose 15 games. I dont know why people keep bringing this **** up.

Besides, if we keep Sparano and Ireland, and we either have the top pick or make a huge deal to get it, were taking that Tackle from USC and starting him at RT. These morons would Ditka the draft to get him. But, a QB??? **** that. Who needs a QB? Just go with whoever. Its the trenches is where games are won in todays NFL.

Exactly. I was waiting for a poster that ****ing gets it. Unbelievable some people, even non Henne homers, dont realize what Andrew Luck means. This is why we absolutely have NO CHANCE of getting Andrew Luck and I dont know why people keep bringing this **** up.

Again, unless we go 1-15 and have the top pick, we arent getting him. Whoever has first pick is. They arent trading that ****.

And if Carolina gets it, there will be like 15 teams willing to trade a **** TON to get that pick from them. Come to think of it, they might just shop Scam Newton and see if anyone wants his sorry *** and draft Luck themselves. That would be the smart play. Keep Newton on the bench this year so that any potential suckers out there dont see how terrible he is and start sorry *** Anderson.

In a heartbeat....it's not like Miami is exactly hitting on their draft picks anyways. Fill the other holes in FA and voila....(gasp) a good football team is born. But I'm tired of Luck talk. Luck to Miami is not happening. Miami is always terrible when the draft sucks. And they blew it in 05 and 08. I hope Miami can get Barkley (if they get a top 10 pick) or L.Jones (if they get a top 15 pick) of course they'll have to trade up in either scenario..

What do you have against Cam Newton? The Guy only won the Heisman, BCS, and abut 20 other player of the year awards. He took his team to an undefeated season, amassing 50 TD'S, and winning games single- handed. He put together one of the greatest single season performances in college history, not just of a QB, but any athlete. If i missed something let me know.

If the team with the #1 pick in the 2012 draft would take our entire draft for the #1 pick, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I really think Luck will be that good.
