Would you give a late-round draft choice for Drew Stanton?

I had him on my draft board the year he came out and we took John Beck(who was NOT on my draft board) a couple of picks before the Lions took Stanton. He had the crap beaten out of him for a couple of years and has had some injuries problems.

I like the guy but would not trade the Jets a warm handfull of spit for anyone they have. It does tick me off to think that the Jets might get a draft pick out of him.

He,he pick up a guy in fa then trade him same seasona class act

He'll be free before you know it ... just like all the other QBs we've traded for. Jets just got him for free ... and we & others showed no real interest in him. He already wants out ... away from the Saint & Sinner Show!!

Cannot believe the football sense of alot of folks ... retreads don't have value unless you're in a pinch & its a good retread ... which he's not!! Sheesh!!

You want to see what kirk cousins will look like in 3-4 years, look at stanton.

3rd rounder out of Michigan State (far from a QB factory) who is supposed to make some GM look like a genius and turns out to be a colossal BUST.

Because the Colts might trade for him?

The New York Jets have traded disgruntled backup quarterback Drew Stanton to the Indianapolis Colts, the team announced Friday.

Terms of the deal were not announced.
In the wake of the Jets' trade for one-time Denver Broncos starter Tim Tebow, a league source told NFL Network insider Jason

La Canfora that Stanton was considering asking for a trade or release.

Sources told La Canfora that those close to Stanton felt lied to and betrayed and Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum, who signed Stanton to be the Jets' No. 2 quarterback behind starter Mark Sanchez.

Stanton left the Detroit Lions for a chance to be the backup after sitting behind Matthew Stafford and Shaun Hill. Stanton has played in 12 games, including four starts, since being drafted in the second round five years ago.
