If you were one of these players, like Edds or the TE we signed from the Patriots, would you give up info on your old team, knowing you may have only been signed to do such a thing? Secondly, do you think all the players do this or do you think some of them have a honor code?

it doesnt really matter.

Edds has no idea what the offense has installed.

By the same token, Yeatman is just trying to get down the 3 or four plays they have in store for him in this game.

It is an overblown assumption about information giving. All Edds can tell them is what they already know. All you have to do is look at the roster and think just a little. Which is why alot of so called finfans are idiots.

I think you could pick up enough intel from a guy like Edds to make it worthwhile. I have no idea how often it goes on, but I suspect it depends a huge amount on the circumstances of the cut. I would imagine though that the default position is that they DO lift the lid.

If the Pats think that Edds is going to help get them a win against us, they have way more problems than we thought.

These guys, like Edds, are looking at the possibility of unemployment and having to find a real job. These guys are really desperate. If I were in their shoes I would do whatever it takes to get a paycheck and get my name out there a little. Do whatever you can to get on and help a team.

Do you think this kind of thing could hinder from getting a job if you were a fringe player-kinda blackball you cause you will share secrets when/if cut if you are only brought in as training camp fodder?

Easy math formula: Need to feed their family + grudge against team firing you = spill the beans.

It's not really had to believe and I would assume we would all do the same thing in similar circumstances. As many have said the likelihood of it being helpful at all is probably small, BUT as a fan, one defense scheme taught to Tom Brady's offense is one too many. Remember, Edds was on the team while we prepared for New England...TWICE, so the approach is likely going to be the same this time around defensively speaking.

The Patriots sound and look desperate. Miami will shock the world Monday night.

Guys are pissed off they just got released, try to think about how you would feel if it happened to you? These aren't fans of the team, they are players who may play for 4-5 different teams at some point. The only loyalty for them is to the team they currently are being paid by.

Once again the voice of reason.

Edds was cut before the team started officially game planning for NE, so there's really not any useful info he could give. He could give info on player tendencies and lockeroom culture, but I'm pretty sure BB already knows that stuff.
