Would you guys bring in Randy Moss for a look at WR???

I just don't want the Patriots to sign him and give them a deep threat once again. Welker and Branch mainly give them the quick slant and ten yarders, and Hernandez and Gronkowski give them targets on third down, but nobody really stretches the field for them the way Moss did. I know he is probably not close to the guy he was in 2007 for them, but if he is serious about making a comeback, it wouldn't hurt to look. After Marshall, Hartline, Bess and Gates, he would be a better #5 WR than Roberto Wallace or Marlon Moore. People make it sound like it would be horrible to take a roster spot from one of these two guys. Randy would probably take the bare minimum in salary at this point in his career. It's more than what the arena league pays.
even if he somehow catches the fountain of youth, as much as randy would help the downfield passing game (and for his last season he was nothing more than a decoy), he hurts your team in many more ways. your running back cracks a good run, and just has one defender left to beat, and that defender is blocked... no scratch that, randy took the play off because the ball wasn't going his way and now the running back who could've went the distance, gets shoestringed for a 5 yard gain.

People here are so right. Why in the world would you want to give a no-risk tryout to the most talented receiver ever to put on a foootball uniform?
The same reason we don't bring in Marino - he was the most talented - but now he's not.

Couple that with the circus and drama that always accompanies Moss, and it's so not worth it.

I think if he were to sign anywhere, as a team you should make it an incentive based contract, could bring out a better Moss...who knows though.

So if Jerry Rice decided to try and play again today. You'd give him a tryout as well? What about Mike Ditka?

I'm not sure if I'd give Randy Moss a tryout. He looked really washed up 2 years ago. I don't think he has anything left and I doubt a year away from football will help. Moss's problem is that he has always been a freak of nature athlete and never really worked on running routes. His physical tools are starting to fade away and he has nothing else to make up for it.

sounds like both him and TO are broke. seriously tho, if you get cut from a BB team, you're pretty much done.

BB can't make chicken salad out of road kill.
It is really sad to think there guys are broke...just pathetic.
They will both end up on the street or in jail.

If he plays for league min. I would be glad to let him prove he still got enough

I know people either love or hate Randy Moss. He's 35, but that is still a year younger than Hines Ward. Apparently Moss's agent has gotten calls from three teams that are interested in him. I am pretty sure Moss lives in Miami most of the year so why not give him a look and bring him into camp?

If you are an opposing defense and have Marshall on one side and Moss on the other, that would be hard to shut down.
No thanks brother. I think his wheels are gone.

I doubt I would sign either one of them even if they would play for free. They are both old and done, not to mention two of the biggest cancers to ever play the game. I hate Randy Moss
