Would you like Chad Pennington as QB coach for the Dolphins?

I am very sure if he wanted, he could be a very good teacher. The man is very smart, has an extremely high football IQ, and it has always been talked about, as far as Pennington's after football career, that he could be a very good coach.

When asking yourself, could he be as good coach, don't judge him on his physical abilities as much as what he will bring to the table mentally.

Pennington is working at the TEST Football Academy in South Florida this year.

Pennington conducts classroom tutorials with former college stars like LSU's Jordan Jefferson and Richmond's Aaron Corp, helping them improve their understanding of defenses, and the football jargon they'll need to use to impress NFL executives.

"[I'm talking] to them about how to be a professional, the little things, understanding how important the details are. They're magnified now because the competition is greater," said Pennington, who works with TEST clients twice a week.

"The athleticism is greater [in the NFL], which means the details must be paid more attention to because you just can't be a better athlete anymore."

Maybe this is the beginning of Pennington's entry into the world of coaching?

How would we know? LOL such a random hypothetical... Would you want Dan Marino to be our QB coach? Or how about Chris Weinke? Maybe Peyton Manning when he retires?

No one that posts on a message board *really* knows anything about his ability to teach/mentor a QB - not like we have tape on that.
