In the event of Smith resigning with SF.

Miami...
went after Peyton hard and came up short.
kind of went after Flynn and didn't get him?
gave a very solid offer to try and pull Smith away and came up short.

Cleveland...
Was in the best position to move up for RG3 and apparently got outmanouvered by Washington(if they legitematly wanted him in the first place).
Did not appear to make any moves that would have gotten them Manning, Flynn or Smith. Cleveland was nowhere to be found.

So do you want the organization that goes all out and tries to get your guy or does nothing. Why is Miami getting so much heat and Cleveland none. I don't get it.

Seriously, what point are you trying to make comparing the Fins to the Browns... Honestly, my anwser is neither...

I would be Miami with the browns pick...............

I would never want to be associated with Cleveland but they have the picks to do something big at the draft. Blackmon and Weeden possibly.

Cleveland
1. Is Cleveland
2. Is Cleveland
3. Is Cleveland

We suck, but we're not yet Cleveland. We might be getting dogpiled on in the press right now, but we ain't Cleveland.

This is so stupid...I would rather be us than a lot od teams just on talent...its the perception that's having you think that way..I think we are closer to a 10 win team than a 3 or 4 win team with the draft

I'd say Miami. The Browns had a chance to get RGIII and didn't do it. They would have had to only give up there 22nd pick for a franchise QB.

They tried. Mike Holmgren publicly complained that they offered a deal equivalent to what Washington did, but that Shanahan got the deal because he's good friends with Jeff Fisher. You can take that for what it's worth, but I don't think the Browns failed to trade up for lack of trying.

I don't see where we are this horrible horrible team is coming from...sure we lost marshall but my god...the team still has a good nucleus

Holmgren isn't a good GM IMO. He's a much better coach.

I mean look at his track record. He is on his second coach and he's only been there 3-4 years.

Did you see what he said about missing out on the draft trade that the Redskins got?

He's always such a whiner. Remember after the Steelers beat the seahawks? He whined like a little girl.

see the Browns are just cursed. Even when they are aggressive in getting established players it fails, and when they try and get picks they fail.

Take a look at when Mangini wanted to rebuild and traded the 5th pick to the Jets (for Kenyon Coleman and Abram Elam) and Braylon Edwards (a 2nd round pick and Jason Trusnick). None of his moves worked out.

Again, this goes back to a point I made before about trading players for picks. If the picks you get work out it's a good trade. If not you get moves like that.

I hate to say it but Man-Gina was a good coach, that team just wasn't very good.

Holmgren is doing it the Green Bay way. Building through the draft, standing pat in free agency. How many free agents did Green Bay sign? How many have they signed in the last 3 years? Holmgren is doing it the right way and I bet they start winning before we do.
