I'am praying that we don't get any Monday nighters. The reason is I don't really want to listen to Joe Theisman, Mike Trico, and Tony Kornisher doing the game. Even though I would miss the first half, have to work, I don't really want to listen to those guys even on tape.

I would rather listen to Al Michaels, and John Madden on NBC for the Sunday nigher.

FYI, for those that didn't know, NBC has taken over the Sunday night package from ESPN and ESPN has moved to Monday night taking over for ABC. ABC will no longer be a part of the NFL, well atleast for this current tv contract.

i rather have a monday night because i dont have class till 2:30 on tuesday... so i get to have a couple more beers during the game

Back when I was in college, there were times I had my beer in class. Maybe thats why I only went for a year and half.

Hold on! Monday Night Football is an institution. It's the premiere game of the week and has been for years. Sunday night might have better commentators, but they'll always be a red-headed stepchild to monday night.

Doesn't really matter to me,,,,I'll be at the game either way

actually im interested to see how nbc runs these games, and how different it will be from when espn did it. same goes for espn on monday night.

either way id be happy. i do like michaels and madden more but its monday night football and there is just something about monday night football.

As I understand it, the new MNF is 16 games (they'll be taking 2 weeks off, but there is the opening doubleheader) and no team will be featured twice. That means Miami is a mortal lock for a MNF game -- 16 * 2 = 32.

I think it's likely that the MNF game will be the Vikings game.

Actually the Monday night games will play second hand to the Sunday nighters. Remember, ESPN is only a cable or satelite channel. In the past, since 1970, the Monday nighter was the prime game, but times have changed. The prime game now is going to be the Sunday nighter.

Yeah I agree..I'll never forgive Fat-den for that MNF game against the Pats the year before last, the guy is such an annoying homer. I don't like most of the national commentators, but he is the worst..
I definitely want a Monday night game, that's still where the Big Dogs play!

At least Madden know the game and he also doesn't use his ego. People may not like is "Boom", but he does know the game.
