I'd do it ASAP. If they hire Spielman, it could go down. Lol.

Carr has been the most sacked QB in the NFL over the past couple of years.
Carr may do well in a good system and with good protection.
Sam, as much as I appreciate his talent, is definitely on the downside.
So I would say yes, as long as we could re-do his (Carr's) contract with a lot
of incentives.

I would do it because I think Madison has played his last game and we if we can trade him to someone that would be in our best interest. Problem with that trade is 95% of the NFL expects us to cut him so no way will be get that kind of value for him. I fully expect to get a draft pick for him and nothing more. With his age and high salary no one will be willing to risk a lot in order to bank on him in the long term. I realize his salary isn't all that bad but he will have a hard time making the money he thinks he is worth.

Saban won't fall in to a situation where Miami hurts it's self by keeping him on the roster. I bet we get a 2 or 3rd round pick for him from some team needing a CB to make a serious run next year. Atlanta or KC are the teams he'd interested in and Atlanta makes a lot since. KC could to with Herm running the show now and having to play against him for a lot of years. Should be an exciting offseason and can't wait for all the news to start once the season is over.

Sounds like a new OC will be in the works along with not having to rebuild the entire team and really being in a great position to get solid players for the desperate need positions. Miami is starting something good and PLAYERS are going to want to be a part of what's going on. Plus Saban did wonders getting quality players and not missing on many this offseason, and that was coming off a 4 win season.

QB poisition is going to be HUGE and from what I learned reading Saban's book is he wants play makers at WR, RB TE and QB. The most crucial being QB since they have the ball in their hands 98% of the time on offense. His belief is if you don't than your really hurting your chances to do what you want to do. He didn't have the money or the chance to get the QB situation address and the draft was very weak last year.

After laying the foundation for the rebuilding project last year he has more time to devote to the QB position since the OL is better we have a good RB situation and Chambers showed what he can do if given the chance. The next thing is QB.

I would trade Sam or Ricky. Whichever gave me the most pull to get the guy Nick wanted. Or would trade both if they both gave me either a player I wanted or the ability to move up in draft to get certain younger players Nick was gunning for.

Id go for it in a second, but I dont think Houston would look at a ageing cb and a 3rd, for Carr as being a good deal.

I would trade either Madison or Williams for Carr...he has a great upside.

Even produced well in 2004.

Just think Texans would be more interested in Williams.

Madison and our third yes. Dont forget, Carr has alot of emotional stuff happening at home with his kids. His mind isnt all on the game. Something to think about also when picking your qb of the future.

The Texans drafted Dunta Robinson in the 1st rd a couple years ago and acquired Buchanon last year, I don't think they would look for another CB. I wouldn't trade a 3rd for Carr, so Madison and a 3rd is way too much.

would take a hell of a lot more than that to get Carr. Would I do it? Absolutely.

To get Carr think more in the range of a 1st and maybe Ricky or additional picks.
