I think we will win at least 2 more games and we will not be in position to draft a qb in the 1st even if quinn comes out, so would you give up our #1 pick to get any of these qb's? say we have pick #13

1.rivers
2.schaub
3.voleck
4.mcnair
5.garrard/leftwitch
6.grossman

I would for rivers and schaub, if garrard impresses and jville wants to get rid of leftwitch i would include him

I can't believe McNair is even on that list. He can't stay healthy and is not exactly young!

yea your right he is not worth a #1 maybe a 3rd, should have not put him on the list

I would not trade our 1st Rounder for any of those guys. I would however trade up to get Leinart, or Quinn if he decides to come out.

If Quinn is in the draft I would trade up for either him or Leinart if need be.

we are not going to trade up it wont happen teams will want to much and saban and muller are not going to throw 2 #1's and a 3rd away on a unproven player forget it! i would rather just draft cutler

I could live with giving a first for Rivers, he was drafted at #4, so trading the #10-13 pick would be a good deal. They will want more than just our first though. Throw is a second next year and they'd take it, but then we may be overpaying...

I'd be tempted to go for Rivers but probably just for a 2nd. Nobody else on that list is worth it.

We will see, I think Saban and Mueller will seriously consider trading for Quinn or Leinart. Theres a serious dropoff between them and the next Qb. Now this could all change after workouts, combines, etc. Who knows.

Shaub played in a WCO in college and he does in Atlanta. Can you say AJ Feeley?

You'd trade a first round pick for Garrard? :shakeno:
I mention that one first because that is just completely absurd.

Mcnair is not worth a 1st round pick, age and health issues.
I don't even think Wanny would have offered a 1st in trade.

I don't think Leftwhich has shown anything in his game that would lead anyone to offer a 1st round pick for him.

You can make arguments for the top 3 you mentioned only.
Rivers in all likelihood will cost more than just a first round pick so you can pretty much cross him off as well.

Gerrard....... Geez.

I would trade our second rounder for a first rounder in 2007 in a heartbeat. I would also trade our 3rd for a 2nd in 2007.

Starting 2007, draft picks are going to be worth more because I firmly believe the new CBA will include rookie bonus limitations. Now would be an absolute perfect time to trade a 3rd round pick for a 2nd rounder in 2007, and then in 2007 trade our 3rd rounder for a 2nd in 2008, and so on and so forth. Then, all we'll have given up is a 3rd round pick in 2006, and what we'll get in return is the ability to have two 2nd round picks in perpetuity...so long as their are foolish GMs out there that still believe draft picks have time value.
