Would You Trade Our Second Round Pick for Peyton Manning?

It's PEYTON F**KIN MANNING. TRADE FOR HIM (if the option is there). My god, I'm not gonna do this again.

Do you fans really want Drew Brees PART 2? It's that stupid type of thinking that got us into this mess in the first place. Get Manning for 2-3 years, if you can.

Sign / Trade / Whichever it takes..

Getting Manning is like getting an OC part2 at the line anyway. Nobody audibles better and we have struggled with that at qb for years.

Would make our coaching selections less criticle. Not less important but you have a proven winner that will manage the offense.

Could we back load the contract into year 3/4? ...plus the guy could really use a tan.

I would definitely trade a second for him providing a different set of medical specialists than the ones who checked out Brees and Culpecker gave him a thumbs up after extensive examinations. Anything higher than a second or in tandem with starting players would be a "no," but a 2nd rounder is just right for a 36yo QB of his caliber who still happens to be a hit away from permanent neck damage.

I would give a second for Manning, if there was assurance that he would be healthy. Granted one good hit and he may be done so that generates concern. IMO this would be a plan B as I would much rather use that pick to trade up for RGIII. I would prefer a QB of the future rather than another stop-gap (although a great stop-gap at that... Manning is getting older).

If i can't move up to the #2 for RGIII I make my move for Manning yes definitely (Factoring in that RGIII will also cost a next years first but at least a second the way I see it) RGIII has pro arm escapability and a good head on his shoulders I would give a lot for him

yeah if anyone should be on this manning thing like white on rice it should be the jets...they should trade their #1 for him in a nanosecond...if he's medically cleared...thats why i'm sayin if manning is healthy they wouldn't need to cut him they could trade him heavy cap hit and all in a heartbeat...but irsay evidently would rather manning retire than trade him so we'll see...

i don't think he's going anywhere but if he does go somewhere my moneys on the jets

on paper that sounds good, but from Manning's POV, after playing for Tony Dungy and Tom Moore, I dunno if he'd be jumping for joy working with Fatso and The Meatball.

that definitely could be an issue...but if he wants a ring thats probably the team most ready talent wise to give him one...of the ones who would have interest at least...

if sparano got in the way of a peyton manning instead of letting him do what he does well i wouldn't be surprised...

Not so sure about that. Hopefully I'm not wearing my homer glasses but I think we have more offensive weapons than the jets. I think the online is comparable and the jets d isn't what it was. They are losing Scott. They have issues at safety and they look like that d is going to be worse next year unless there are serious upgrades. We started off 0-7 but I would argue that at the end of the year we were the better team. We were favored without our two best offensive players and the line actually went up. So it seems a lot of people thought we were the better team at seasons end

You can point to the final record but many times the team that starts the season is different than the one that ends it. Look at the pack last year and the giants this year. I'm not comparing us to them, I'm just saying our final product was better than our final record and I dont see the jets as being without a doubt the more desirable location. Either way I think he makes a contender out of either team

Lol. Salary cap aside, could u imagine him in Philly.

The thing about the Jets is they have ZERO cap room...basically. My friend is a Jets fan and as much as he'd like to see it...it just aint happenin

guys and gals if manning gose anywhere IT WILL BE WHERE MANNING WANTS TO GO ,because if the colts draft luck which is almost automatic Manning will go where ever he wants ,there Not trading him he will be cut ,and if they keep him then WE WILL SEE THE COLTS GET LUCK TO TRADE HIM FOR MORE PICS but as for both on the same team ,i just cant see it as everybody has said along with the dad of both manning and luck. so there want be a trade with manning , if manning isnt playing for the colts he will be released not traded .

no.

we wouldnt have any cap money to pay anyone else on the team [and no, he isnt coming here on the cheap].

we have our qb in matt moore. get this wretched o-line fixed, a legit TE and another wr, one who can get in the endzone, and matt moore is a pro bowl qb and this team is on its way.

if manning were 6 years younger, yes. maybe, depending on cost. you cant win with just a great qb, it takes a team and they all want to be paid. manning soaks up a whole lotta cap room!!

IMO IF IT WAS 6 YEARS EALIER we wouldnt be haveing this conversation.
