Ok, I started doing some thinking and began to think of our situation down here and our big need for a number 1 WR. There will be some options during FA, but are we willing to break the bank for a guy like TJ or Antonio Bryant Bryant could be Franchised and might not hit FA and TJ want to play on the West Coast. Then there is Amani Toomer who is an interesting option, but not a Boldin.

The reality is we could trade our First Rounder for Anquan and we would immediately recieve a young true up and coming WR and an immediate starter at the position. Nothing the draft could guarantee. We have 2 second rounders and a late 1st. I have no problem giving up the 1st pick for Boldin. What do you guys think.

NFW

They could use a big play WR but what they NEED is a little improvement/more depth on the O-Line and more talent everywhere on the defense DL, LB, and DB. The offense will be good enough with another talented Lineman or 2. I think they should really concentrate on getting some good LBs besides Joey Porter. I expect Ginn and Bess to continue to get better and look foward to Camarillo returning.

No, absolutely not. We are not one player away. More than that, I think our WR core is fine. They are all extremely young, and still developing. Ginn is entering that critical third year for a WR. Camarillo and Bess are already looking impressive. London fills the role of the huge possesion receiver. If we sign a WR, its going to be someone like Miles Austin.

Bill Parcells does not trade fist day picks. All this talk about trading for Boldin is unfounded. Its not a possibility. Its fun to talk about, but at the end of the day, he will not be a Dolphin...

100% yes.
But it will take much more then that.

If that was all it took, the rest of the league would be lining up, as would the Fins.

I voted No, Use our draft picks in the draft. The CB from the raiders is who i'd love for us to get but more less a dream.

i voted yes he would make us explosive he would open up the running game they can't stack the box to stop the run if we have someone like boldin at wr.

I honestly cannot believe this poll isn't being dominated by the "yes" option. I am usually against trading draft picks, but come on!

The guy is easily a top ten wideout, and is just entering his prime. He is exactly the type of WR we need to compliment Ginn. There are no guarantees with draft picks, with Boldin you know exactly what you're getting. 80 catches, 1000 yards, 8 TD's would probably be considered a disappointment with him...you're telling me that isn't worth a late first round pick?

Arizona would be foolish to let him go at such a discount, and if we could actually pull this off it would be nothing short of a coup.

cmon its one pick. that means one player. i would take boldin as that player anyday of the week instead of a late round first. we still have two 2nds and many others.

of course i would. we couldn't want more out of our first rounder than a legit #1 receiver thats ready to step in immediately. i do like our WR core but i just don't see a #1 in there - and the QB after pennington (next few years - presumably henne) is gonna need one. what more could you want from our first round pick than a relatively young anquan boldin?

but they're gonna want - and will get - more.

i voted no...IMO,we need to use all of our draft picks to continue to rebuild our OL,DL,LB's,and Secondary....if we grab a WR in this draft, then fine, but if not, then i'm ok with that too,as long as we continue to address the Trenches&Secondary, and when i say Trenches,i'm also including our LB's....

Isnt this similar to the Cpepp trade...By trading a pick and having to give the guy a huge contract its basically like giving up 2 players...I dont think I would do that at this point.

yes every time out of 1000.

He's better than anybody, let alone WR we could get at 25. sometimes you have to get the checkbook out.
trading away 1 pick, doesn't mean you can't build the OL and DL. give me a break.

the draft is more than just the first round. boldin has plenty of years left. it's not as though he would only be a stop gap.

based on our offense last year, we don't score many points. all the DL in the world aren't gonna help if we can't put up more than 17 pts a game.

gotta have some big time guys mixed in there as well. FA is the only way to get em.
