If you have ESPN insider you may want to read this. I don't have it but I saw the link and thought I would post it here. I know we have Morris but Duckett is really powerful in short yardage/red zone situations and looked good in the first preseason game for Atlanta. What do you think?

change of scenery for the guy wouldnt be too bad he could be a monster on the goal line, then we would have B.C.D.

I like what i saw out of Sammy Morris last night and he looks like he's going to be a good back-up. T.J. is good and all but they are going to ask a high draft pick for him but if he's released which i doubt taking a look at him would not be such a bad idea.

Sammy looks quicker. stronger, and he was even running smarter. I think we're good.

Sammy is a good runner but most imporant he is hungry to play. He knows Miami has a really good team and he wants to be a part of it.

If we can get him for cheap, why not? It's difficult to speculate if you dont know what Atlanta is asking.

He's a young former 1st rounder that Saban is familiar with and has been put into a situation that didnt really help him. Duckett is not a good fit for the Falcons zone blocking scheme. His is, however, a good fit for the Dolphins big, road grading man blocking scheme.

Sammy Morris doesnt really have the upside or isnt as young as Duckett(And he can shift effectively to a Patrick Pass type role IMO if needed), and Ricky Williams isnt very dependable at all.

how cheap would you expect to get him. you know as well as I do that hes not cheap enough to trade for.

Expect? I dont know. I dont know what Atlanta wants, and what Miami thinks is fair. How much would I pay, theoretically? A 3rd or 4th. Michael Bennett went for a 4th and he has more proven NFL production.

you would give a 3rd or 4th for a backup at a position we dont need?

i honestly can not understand why

Why not? You dont stop drafting or signing players because you dont need them right this minute. TJ Duckett can improve the team. Sammy Morris can be shifted to a different role, and have him focus on special teams and a recieving downs fullback.
