I'm not going to go into the whole "Do you want TO or not" thing. This thread isn't about that. Please make this the one thread that we all don't go there on that part.

My question is, if the Phins were trying to acquire TO, wouldn't Linehan's departure make us less attractive to him? I'm sure he knew how much Moss and Chambers prospered in his offense. Subsequently, he was very interested in us. Of course, the flip side of the coin's argument says that when you're as good as TO aren't you that good in any system? Big playmakers make big plays. They are too busy producing to care about what kind or who's system they are in.

Personally, I think TO should be happy to have a job anywhere. But that's a different thread.

I think any coordinator Saban hires will have a similar philosophy of attacking downfield, just as any DC he brought would share his aggresive blitzing style of defense.

I think Saban believes you score points by going downfield.

So my guess would be no, it won't hurt us in a pursuit of T.O..

I don't think it will have an impact at all on if TO comes here or not. They still have Saban and I am sure he will get a qualified OC in here.

I hope Linehan's departure from the Dolphins discourages TO from wanting to become a Dolphin.:D

I wish people could see how Saban could turn T.O. around. Saban is a much tougher coach than his other two.

I hope we get T.O.:D

With Saban as our coach i'm not a bit worried about Linehan leaving.

I totally agree, Saban is the key. The Patriots did okay this year without Charlie Weis. I mean they missed him, but they still had Belichick. Same thing applies with the Fins.

Yeah! Andy Reid is a weenie!

I think that it would definately make a difference. Linehan outweighed the Frerotte factor. Maybe we could trade Gus to the Rams for Jamie Martin. Yay. That would be special.

I`d be willing to bet it makes no difference to Owens whether or not Linehan is here or not. TO knows he can be the go to guy here, and its Saban that`s doing the selling to him about coming down here, not Linehan.
