Keep beating that drum... hopefully we never do this. The idea of being intimidating by losing the helmet is ridiculous. It's tradition and shouldn't change.

Losing the helmet doesn't make it intimidating, it makes it normal. There is not a single sports franchise left that still uses a logo featuring an anthropomorphic animal wearing sports equipment. That trend died in the 80s...
There is not need for the helmet. Its redundant!
There is no such thing as tradition. Change is inevitable. Many bad things were once tradition, but eventually changed.
The Raiders logo would disagree with you :tongue:

This guy created uniforms for all the teams based on the Nike warrior platform. I really like what he did for the Dolphins, its old school without looking dated.
He did home and away as well as alternate combinations and even an orange jersey version.

The logo looks fine to me. Not sure why so many wanna mess with it. If they use the stadium logo then I think I will only get throwback merch. I like the Dolphin in the helmet. :idk:

Now, I know football and I know the Dolphins football history a little bit, like that the Phins went undefeated before Marino and never won the Big Game with him.
BUT, I was talking about the greatness of their uniforms. To quote myself:
"Miami has classic Floridian uniforms, so I brought them (referring to Miami's uniforms, because that's how English works) back to their peak of greatness when Marino was just beginning to do his thang."

well, i will tell you all straight away that i LOVE our logo and its history and it would be my choice to not change at all.
but, if they ARE going to change, the STADIUM LOGO THEME is the best one i have seen BY FAR!!!
my fav part, they MINIMIZED the orange in the color scheme, just about all the ones so far have been drenched in that god awful color rather than the teams dominant color, which is AQUA!! our colors are AQUA and orange, not ORANGE and aqua.
i like the uni a lot, they could do that right now. the logo on the helmet needs the tail end to curve down and back to the inside towards the chin so you can see its clearly a fish. as it looks now, it appears at a glance an aqua airplane.
this would also play homage to the currant/historic logo as the fish is in a curved position in the sun ring. not a lot of curve like the rams uni, but just enough to CLEARLY recognize its a fish and not a plane or bird or whatever.
thats the only change i would make, just curve the tail down and inside a bit. the colors and uni look real good.
is this just another bored hi school kid doodling on his pc or is this a proto type by a sports company solicited by the finz brass?
i actually think these are real sharp! colors and graphics not to outlandish and gawdy as ALL of the other ones have been.

First and foremost, welcome.
Secondly, I must apologize for my over-reaction. I haven't been feeling well for a few days and I mis-read your explanation. In hindsight, your redesign is actually quite nice. I didn't like the 1987-1993 uniforms and the 1997-to-present-day don't entirely do it for me, especially the all-aqua uniforms used once about 10 years ago. Neither am I a fan of the orange jerseys, as it looks like the team is ready to go out and do road construction on I-95. I prefer the simplicity of the classic 1970s-era uniform, and your design certainly pays homage to that. Good work, and again, my apologies.
