Wow, Gruden just said "Don't look past the Dolphins, they're better than you think"

Anybody who watches knows Gruden makes statements like this every week. Who ever is playing that week is one of the best at such and such. I agree with him, but that is Gruden being Gruden.
 
Wasn't he the guy when he and Jaws went over/under number of wins, he went under?

While i greatly respect Gruden and his knowledge of football, it is john Gruden. I mean he is the most optimistic announcer i have ever listened to call a game.

Last year i recall him saying Alex Smith had "a great body" lol.
 
and why do people listen to mike and mike? whether they talk bad about the dolphins or not, i just cannot stick with those two for very long.
 
well, this year gruden has said it twice in two weeks now. Jaws, his counterpart has agreed to a degree i hear. these guys break down film and talk about it. mike and mike discuss eating food and getting their nails done.

Two years ago when when henne-beat-the-jets on mnf, he was all on our jocks about how good we played while jaws was a wee bit in denial.

So I see Gruden as being somewhat honest here. I also sense some selling MNF going on here.
