you gotta give saban and mueller/cam some credit in the last few years of drafting. If you look we dont have 1 player from 98 to 03 draft as we know.

Hence we have no talent on this team in any spot . Imagine they missed on RB, Crowder, Roth, Allen, Ginn, satele, Mauia, Beck, Wright, Booker etc. Now u see thats retarded cuz we'd have no one on this team esp after the cuts, well thats exactly what it would be like and thats exactly how we are in this position cuz we have NONE of the guys from those 5 years. I know this is obvious to many but as I sat here n' thought bout it in depth it seemed all the more crazier how horrible things have been and how crazy things would be had the past 2 coaches from this point of time had missed as well. We'd have NO ONE LITERALLY on this team. Its just amazing

soooooo, youre saying that if we didnt draft Ginn, Beck, Satele, etc. last year, whoever we drafted wouldve been cut?

I disagree. The Saban/Mueller drafts really have left alot, and I mean alot to be desired. Crowder, Roth, especially, daniels have definately disgressed during the past year and Hagan hasnt amounted to anything...Evans, Alabi, Toledo, Vickerson, M. Wright, Aromashodu.. arent even on the roster anymore.. The only great hit guy was Ronnie, although Allen is beginning to come around.. But as it stands right now, I would call the Saban/Mueller drafts an overall failure

Good god, these guys made a 1-15 team. Real surprise coaches keep their own draft picks, this proves nothing.

Hopefully the Cam/RM picks will turn out to be quality players.
Some definitely showed some potential last year.

You dont simply cut guys who you drafted 1 or 2 years before, based on salry cap and/or "potential." Period. End of story. In a few more years we can then, and only then, make these kind of statements.

I'm still pissed that we passed over Antonio Cromartie for Jason Allen.:err: Saban was an SEC homer.

Exactly, I was hoping for Lawson or Cromartie..and both went later and both are significantly better........go figure...:(

That was an amazing draft year, and we managed to somehow come out with one of the few guys who aren't looking like studs right now.

Reminds me of my Pistons taking Darko Milicic.

Jason Allen showed signs of becoming a good player in the 2nd half of last year. Give him time. There is a guy in Pittsburgh who was drafted, didn't pan out in his first year and then came on strong. His name....Troy Polamalu.

Point being that some players take a year or two to shine.

dude all the coaches since Shula have sucked. They were poor decision makers and drafters (is that a word). The GMs we had here we incompetiant. They seemed like they didnt know what they were doing. We would sign criminals in the Jimmy Johnson era. Traded away drafts picks in the Pornstache and Spielman era. Saban is a punk ***** and just quit on us and the team. Cameron and Mueller we retarded trading away players that could help us win and wasting money in other things rather than getting depth for the team. This era needs to start growing from the inside out. We need to draft smart and sign the right players. I'm tired of letting young guys go just to get into thier groove and become stars on other teams. This team has been a debacle ever since they were bought by H. Wayne. Now i'm not saying he doesnt care about the team but he does make poor decisions and its been going on a lot lately. We need stability in this organization and hopefully the Tuna and Irland can bring that to this team.

I would argue that Safteys taken that high should be performing at a high level earlier than most, while Im not calling Allen a bust, its obvious those 2 guys (Lawson,Cromartie) are better football players.

If Allen can just be a SOLID starter the rest of his time in Miami Id be thrilled, because I dont see very many trips to Hawaii in his future.
