wow, why did shazor not get drafted?

They say he can't cover worth a damn outside of a box. Big deal, neither can Rodney Harrison.

Everyone got hateful because of his 4.7 40 time. He slipped from the 2nd right out of the draft...ridiculous

Thought he was in top 5 safety's in draft?

Apparently not. I'm sure that there is some reason that 32 teams passed on him for 7 rounds.

He is caught in tweener hell. They say he has stiff hips and is slow in coverage, so that projects him to OLB. Which too many people feel he is too small for.

He'll get on a team as a special team player and may work himself into a role on some team. Maybe a situational LB.

Look at these 40 times of players who were drafted compared to Shazors

Thomas Davis- 4.67 1st rnd

Oshiomo Atowge-4.62 3rd rnd

James Sanders-4.68 4th rnd

Kerry Rhodes-4.64 4th rnd

Shazor- 4.60 Not to mention that he has better skill than all of them safties w/ the exception of Davis whom he may be as good as, there has to be something we dont know, and if there isint, Miami dont wait, SIGN THIS KID TONITE!

Browner also didn't get drafted, and he was a possible 2nd rounder in many mock drafts. Also, a lil tidbit from espn

Among the other prominent players to go undrafted were Tennessee tackle Michael Munoz, the son of Hall of Famer Anthony Munoz, and Michigan safety Ernest Shazor, who left school after his junior season. Munoz and Shazor were All-Americans last season.

two all americans available.
