WR Brian Tyms released by Browns

Tyms and Francis are guys who, at this point in their careers, will be poised to make a move. Right about "here" is where a guy becomes a bona fide player... or a bust. I think these guys are keepers and will play in playoff games for this team going forward.

Tyms is about 2 years ahead of Francis not a fair comparison, Francis was a rookie

Is this a dream, or did I read a post about Tyms and Francis playing in PLAYOFF games for the DOLPHINS?????

That would be awesome, but lets see if anyone on a Fins uniform can play in a playoff game

can he play G or OT? otherwise who cares?

Well....seeing as after Rishard Matthews we have no one else, I would think we should all care.

We really only have 4 NFL quality WR's on this team. (Wallace, Hartline, Gibson, Matthews) one goes down and big trouble. Believe it or not, many teams biggest down falls are depth.

What about Binns?

He was on our practice squad, then dropped by the browns....i'm sure there will be plenty of talented WR's we can keep on our practice squad.

How many healthy WR do we have? Wallace? Hartline? Binns had an ACL, Gibson ACL (I think) Mathews healthy?

Thats about it, without counting practice squad hopefulls.

Gibson and Binns should both be ready for camp if not the start of the season.

Here is an article from February on injured players including the WR's...

3. WR Brandon Gibson

Injury: Knee

2013 stats: 30 receptions, 326 yards, three touchdowns

Update: Like Keller, Gibson was knocked out for the season after a significant knee injury. He was doing well in the slot after signing a three-year contract. Rishard Matthews replaced Gibson and also was productive. Gibson might miss some reps in organized team activities and minicamps during his recovery, but he should be getting close to 100 percent by training camp.

4. OT Will Yeatman

Injury: Knee

2013 stats: Eight games played

Update: Yeatman had a freak accident during a November practice where he tore his ACL. He played in eight games as a reserve. The former tight end has been a two-year project for Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin. Yeatman is a restricted free agent. So the Dolphins can bring him back on the cheap. However, since Yeatman was injured in November his recovery time will stretch into the summer.

5. WR Armon Binns

Injury: Knee

2013 stats: No stats

Update: Binns showed promise last offseason before blowing out his ACL in the summer. Binns didn’t make it to the regular season and now has to start from scratch in 2014. Binns made a brief appearance in Miami’s locker room after the regular season ended. Binns believed he would’ve helped the Dolphins last year. The bigger question is can Binns help Miami this year? He should be ready for training camp and will add depth to a deep group of Miami wide receivers.

Better to really bring him in to see if he can ball it can't hurt.

AJ Francis... Brian Tyms... So many more... Not good enough to get off our practice squads, not good enough to make the roster of their next teams, but let's keep saying their worth a roster spot

LOL .... I'll never understand the love affair some people have with camp fodder.

and this relates to Tyms how? thanks for the lesson on depth and how players who can't play should be regarded when they get released for the millionth time. I want a thread for every turd that gets released, it is so useful. Finally the 5th WR should be a special teams asset, such a player does not get released more times than Lindsey Lohan
