I just have to say that the group of WRs we have right now is really impressive at least in my opinion. Not saying that it's tops in the league or anything but I think it's easily the best we've had in my time as a Dolphins fan (16 years).

I'm not going to talk about Marshall or Bess because we all know how money they are. But after those guys you've got Mr. Gates who is really gonna open things up for Marshall and Bess.

But What really stands out to me is the group of guys competing for the #4 and #5 spots. Of course there's Brian Hartline who has played as well as you would expect a 4th round draft pick to play. On a side note I think he has an inner ear problem because I have never seen a guy fall down so many times without anyone touching him. Then you've got Marlon Moore who just makes the most of every opportunity that he's given. He's strong and has above average speed and he finds a way to make plays. Then there's Roberto Wallace who reminds me a lot of Marques Colston. He could be a great weapon in the redzone whether your throwing him a ball down the seem to his back shoulder or maybe you throw him as fade. He's tall and shows great body control. Then there's the Livas kid who I know nothing about yet but obviously has some speed.

Just nice to see some depth at WR because honestly it's been awhile.

Don't forget Phillip Livas. Maybe not much of a receiver at this point but definitely a possibility if they keep 6 receivers. Marshall and Bess are obviously stars on this offense and I know Hartline gets flack around here, but I actually don't have a problem with him. He was a 4th round pick, improved each of his pro seasons and does make some big plays on the field. No doubt in my mind that Marshall, Bess and Hartline are a solid group of receivers. Gates is pure speed and showed last night he is improving on his route running and I think Wallace is separating himself from Moore. If Livas continues to impress as a returner there is going to be a tough cut at the end of the preseason. My early prediction? Marlon Moore won't make the team.

Moore drops a lot of passes though. While Hartline may randomly trip up sometimes, there are other plays where he shows some nice moves and tackle breaking ability. I think we will keep 6. I think they each offer value.

Wallace and Livas would be the two I would keep. We've been developing Wallace for a couple years and it could be finally paying off. And Livas really looked fast on that return. I mean, who was our last guy to return one? It had to have been Ginn

Gates, Moore and Wallace do show potential to be effective. It already the best group in 16 years when we got Marshall. But thats not saying a lot

Ya we are going to have some pretty tough decisions to make later this month. SOme other team is going to get a steal off of waivers.

This may turn out to be he best WR corps we have had since Shula's days. Still not real high on Hartline but Gates and Wallace will fit in nicely with Bess and Marshall. But what I really like was the 3 WR sets we saw. With those 4 in a 4 receiver set plus Reggie It will cause problems for defenses. I am encouraged but not sold on the offense yet.

ur a michigan guy. i understand not liking hartline. i like hartline....and his hot wife.

Agreed - I like the speed factor, love the 3 Wr sets, add Bush in the Backfield and you have mis matches.
Also love that Dabol is on the sideline talking and coaching the offensive team.
already see a diffrent style of gameplan than Henning --

if moore dont make the team i would try and trade him and get something for him because he is going to be a good wr in this league maybe not elite but he will be a good player and i would hate to just release him

A lot of image hosting sites are cracking down on hotlinking due it stealing bandwith.

I think in time Wallace could be a legit #2.

I think so too and I like him in his role of backing up Marshall right now - he's got similar size.

But right now I'd go ahead and move Clyde Gates to WR2 over Hartline.
