WR Damian Williams visits Dolphins/signs one year deal

the fact he is a 5th wr is all you need to know about the use of the word meh. I simply don't care, the signing doesn't even evoke a flicker of either interest or dislike. He may manage to win a roster spot in camp, maybe he wont. Wont make a difference to the season either way

Guys like him have to exist on NFL rosters. There's no reason for a meh reaction.

Haven't followed his career at Tennessee, but I remember him being bothered by injuries. Good athlete. Pretty polished coming out of USC. For the money, he's easily worth a look.

A lot of love for Binns, a guy who's done nothing yet and is coming of a major knee injury. Way I see it the 5th WR job is wide open.

This signing, and our aggressive attempts to bring in more WRs tells me every receiver on the team better be prepared to earn their reps...even the 60 million dollar man. As for the draft I don't believe we'll shy away from drafting a WR, not even in the first round, but then none of us really has a clue on the matter seeing as Hicky has never been a GM before.

Ain't that the truth..

Here's the fact of the matter: He'll potentially be going up against another team's 3rd and 4th corner, and if he can win those battles, he'll be a hell of a lot more valuable than Marlon Moore.

The guy can also return kicks/punts, an area of need for us going into the season.

Stop it JC! There's no room on here for common sense!

I can't believe that poster even wrote what he did. LOL

Name me 5 receivers that are drafted this year other then Waktins that will have better numbers then Williams did his rookie year. Ill spot ya one receiver in possibly Evans. So take a guess at 4 receivers.

Im pretty sure more than 5 rookie receivers will have better numbers

15 rookies this year had better numbers than he did as a rookie.

I think that there may be WR talent in the Draft like we haven't seen before. While the Dolphins have more pressing needs, if they are serious about taking the best player available, we may find that we get a very good WR, irrespective of need. Players this good rarely come along.
BTW - I'm developing a man crush for Allen Robinson in the 2nd round. He could be a top class WR and he's a decent size (6'2" 225 lbs). Interesting if Bill O'Brien and the Texans swoop on him, having been his star receiver at Penn State. If he's still there in the 2nd round - he's a serious consideration.

This draft has to be about the offensive line, a LB and DB help. I think they covered themselves at the skill positions on offense the last two years. Maybe a TE to play of of Clay is an option.
However, I see RT, OG, LB, CB, S and TE as being the biggest needs.

That's about how I see it, but i'd put TE before safety and corner. Also S before CB with no real back up for injury prone Delmas. Maybe a RB too

Sounds like Thigpen's replacement, he was listed as a RB last year but they tried him out wide a few times IRC and he was so-so. If that's the line of thought here, well Williams is clearly an upgrade, better hands and route running...
