Not sure how much to expect from rookie WR's but hoping for the best and maybe help keep drives moving.

During seven-on-seven drills Friday, the Dolphins’ second-round draft pick darted off the line, got behind cornerback Walt Aikens and made a leaping, contorting catch near the left sideline.

And, just as importantly, he kept his balance, turned up field and picked up even more yards.
Granted, it was just a moment in time. But it was a telling one for Landry, the receiver out of LSU whose dependability makes up for what he lacks in explosiveness.

Of h
is 77 catches as a junior — when he was LSU’s most valuable player — 62 went for first downs.

Landry said it’s nearly identical to what he ran at LSU — which is Cam Cameron’s version of Air Coryell. Cameron, the former Dolphins coach, is now the Tigers’ offensive coordinator. Taking — and hitting on — downfield shots are a big part of his system.

Realistically? 600 yards but he could easily have more all depends on his playing time

I would take 600 yards, if he can convert third downs, keep drives moving and provide some YAC in year one I would be happy.

600 yards is only 37 yards and maybe 3 grabs per game. Based on how we drafted I think we'll throwing the ball far more. Hoping for 60-70 catches for 8-900 yards and maybe 6-7 TD's

It's usually a bit of a struggle for rookie WR's.

Everyone's an optimist after the draft, but I'll be surprised if two of these gentlemen cross the 1,000-yard barrier as rookies. Of the 28 receivers drafted last year, only Keenan Allen checked that box. In the end, rookie wideouts in 2013 accounted for an average of just 246 yards through the air.

i'm gonna stick my neck out here and predict 1000 plus yards....7/8 td's....QB's best friend when the games on the line....throw it in there and landry will catch it.

If that happens he might have the best selling Dolphin jersey going into next year!

I expect him to enable Tannehill to get the ball off quickly because he runs good routes AND Tannehill doesn't have to wait for him to get too much separation. I'm hoping he can also catch a few TD passes. The number of yards doesn't matter to me.

We need people who can make plays, and he can do that.

Agree, it's not so much about the yardage as the ability to extend drives and maybe help in the red zone.

10. Jarvis Landry, MIA

Jarvis Landry might not possess any special traits, but he is one of the better fits in the draft taken 63rd overall by the Miami Dolphins. When Landry proves himself above the mediocre Dolphins wide receivers found below Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline on the depth chart, he will instantly become a favorite target for QB Ryan Tannehill on third downs because of his reliable hands and toughness. He’s also one who’s not afraid to work the middle of the field.

I expect him to see quite a bit of him on 3rd downs and for him to become a red zone target fairly quickly. The guy catches the tough passes and doesn't drop anything.

The Anti-Hartline? I'm intrigued.
