WR Jeff Fuller was a first-round talent entering his Senior year

Is this the same Fuller that came to us as a Undrafted Free Agent? Or is it totally another one?

Well, you do have to fill the page every day with something. And I'm sure if you throw 40-50 names against the wall, at least a couple will stick. And then after people no longer remember the 32 players who you never hear of again, you can pull up the 3 that made it and say"look at what a bright boy I am!".
Not really sure what your point is here. It's a crapshoot. Everyone's a crapshoot. Marino was a crapshoot. Talent evaluation is always speculative and a risk, but if you're trying say people only highlight the good picks they make and there aren't good talent evaluators out there who have made mistakes, well that's just wrong.

Sooooo... I guess your schtick is to point out that undrafted free agents are unlikely to work so that you can step back, take a look at this post and say, "look, what a bright boy I am"?

yes it would b nice if he turned himself around.it would b nice if any of these guys steped up and showed they belong in the nfl

Outside of getting drafted in the top 4 or 5 rounds Miami is the ideal situation for Fuller. If he can't make it here with a familiar QB, a familiar Offensive coordinator and a familiar system/playbook and with our lackluster WR corps then he was never gonna make it in the NFL.

i have about had enough of wr's who cannot catch the ball, if he can't do it in college he isn't going to do it in the pros. glass is less than half empty for my expectations for this dude.

someone in a front office thought ted ginn was a 1st round talent...nuff said

jeff fuller can't separate and lacks speed...his biggest asset is his length...i do think he's got a little more going for him than patrick turner but real difference maker...heck no...i'd bet on either or both of cunningham and matthews making the 53 over him...

Fuller is an UDFA, if he doesn't make it no loss. The biggest benefit with having him here imo is the familiarity for Tannehill, if Fuller gets cut or makes the PS and then gets cut no big deal, he could end up doing better but I wouldn't have high expectations for him.

I keep hearing that he can't catch because all of this drops this year but let's act that his senior year and senior bowl wasn't good because he had been fighting injuries all year. There was a reason he was being projected between a 2nd - 4th round pick after his junior year. Does anybody know how many drops he had in his junior year? Throw his senior year out and only look at his junior year and give me your opinion on him. I'm not saying he's going to make the team but I believe it is realistic to say that he's not as bad as his Senior year would suggest.

after his junior year i thought he was a mid round pick...he made some nice catches underneath against patrick peterson where he ran some solid routes but the ball from tannehill i might add was perfectly placed and with excellent timing...but he lacks speed lacks burst in and out of his cuts and imo is never gonna threaten nfl dbs with his speed...so they will sit on a lot of underneath stuff...he also at times makes little to no effort to go get the ball...route running is ok but does not separate...

i'm hoping we have more talent in this wr core frankly...

i guess you could always look at his lack of separation etc as being somewhat injury driven but i don't know that i buy that considering i saw him running all out as a junior against patrick peterson down the field and peterson never even coming out of his pedal...he was just hand checking fuller down the field in his pedal pretty good sign that you don't threaten nfl caliber cbs over the top or have anything that makes them worry about you

and i saw plenty of evidence of the same thing during the senior bowl week in one on one drills...the dbs were never threatened or afraid of him over the top

Rishard Mathews will make the 53 squad. Fuller is borderline and he will definitely make the PS. Making the roster will require no drops in camp.

last thing i'll say is if your own hc who is now an nfl oc isn't pounding the table for you as at least a late round pick that's probably not a good sign for your pro prospects...
