I hear many complaining about this position (including me), but just think a little...

Right now we have at WR:

#1 Chris Chambers
#2 Marty Booker
#3 Derek Hagan

That sounds like a team that sometimes (just when Chambers fires up) can be sorta dangerous, but...

Imagine this:

#1 Chris Chambers (Fighting) Calvin Johnson (If we trade up) or Dwayne Jarret, Ted Ginn (Draft)

#2 Chris Chambers (Fighting) Calvin Johnson (If we trade up) or Dwayne Jarret, Ted Ginn

#3 Marty Booker (fighting) Derek Hagan

#4 Marty Booker (fighting) Derek Hagan

So basically it could be:

#1 Calvin Johnson
#2 Chris Chambers
#3 Marty Booker
#4 Derek Hagan

That sounds like a team that even with Daunte in his worst moment can be very explosive (now imagine with Daunte playing excellent or just OK...)

Theres nothing like drafting a fresh WR and not to sign veterans who are old enough to be useless in a couple of years...

you mean if we traded up for johnson? that would be the steal of the century if we could trade down and still get CJ :chuckle:

I really believe Calvin Johnson will be phenomenal.... look how good he did with a sporadic Reggie Ball throwing to him.
I don't see us trading up to get him....seems like Cameron wants to have all his draft picks and bring in quite a few players.....but Calvin Johnson scoring TD's and making big plays against the Pats, Jets, & Jills makes me drool

I give this a 99% chance of not happening.

cj in a phins uni would definately be something else though.

we will draft a receiver in the 2nd though, and he will probably battle somebody for a starting spot.

Just letting you know CJ won't be #1, CC is always #1

I think we will draft one. This years recievers are very deep. Guys that might have gone 2nd round last year wil prob be going late 3 becasue of the amount of guys going i the first round and amount of juniors that actually came out. we can get jason hill who rana 4.32 in the 40

The only way I can see Calvin Johnson being in a Dolphins uniform next year is if the Bucs trade for Randy Moss and we trade up into their draft spot at #4.

IMO, Anthony Gonzalez would be a perfect fit and a guy who could go deep and go over the middle and get YAC. four very capable WR's.

I'd trade #9 and one of those 2nd's to go get Calvin Johnson. Even though we have other needs, he's THAT good. However, I don't see Mueller doing that. I like the idea of one of the top players dropping to #9, and moving back a few spots while picking up another day one pick and selecting a WR.

1. Chambers
2. Booker
3. Ginn/Meachem/Jarrett
4. Hagan
5. Vick/Campbell/Rookie

That's perfect. Next year, Booker is out, rookie starts, and Hagan becomes #3.
