On the eve of the recent Braylon Edwards acquisition by the New York Jets, the AFC East has finally capitalized on marquee receivers - all except for the Miami Dolphins. Yes, Terrell Owens has not succeed in Buffalo thus far, Randy Moss isn't playing to full potential and Braylon Edwards is known for dropping the ball. But there is no doubt that all of those receivers have greater talent than any WR on the Miami Dolphins roster.

With that said, there is still a chance for the Dolphins to go out and shop for a top receiver of their own. Just look at this season's teams that are on a crash course for doom: the Oakland Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and St. Louis Rams.

Most of those teams have receivers that could positively impact Miami's roster and assist Chad Henne in his journey towards becoming a legit NFL quarterback. We break down the players of interest that could benefit Miami's offense...

Bill P has a bad past with Antonio Bryant.
Bowe is a option I guess... But he has one good year of work and a lot of drops.
But the Raiders and Rams have nothing to offer.
Avery is just like Ginn.
Higgins is a pretty good returner but he fumbles and muffs way to many punts and as a WR well he has 2 lame rookies starting in front of him

3rd, roth, and camarillo for Bowe! Id even make that a 2nd if we absolutely had to.

Think bout it, if we could get Bowe in the second or third round of next years draft, every single person (besides JETSUCK and Revis Christ) on this forum would go for it.

Ok, roth is great and i love him, but he is known as a runstopper, the dolphins are 2nd or 3rd or something like that at stopping the run without Roth. He wouldnt make too much of a difference in that regard..

Camarillo is also very good but is he truly better than Ginn? wat about Bess? Hartline? Turner? we have such good depth that if we added Bowe to our WR corps and lost Camarillo, none of us would even notice.

Bowe would give us a go-to-guy and fights for every ball, he is a great jumper and runner after the catch, he has pretty good hands and speed, he is young and everything you would want in a WR. he would also compleiment Ginn and Bess very well and maybe we could develop hartline into a great #2 to go with ginn or bess and turner.

Proof ^^

So maybe Bowe doesn't run a 4.2, but we already have Ginn for that. From what I've seen, he's pretty good at running routes and fighting for the ball. And of all the highlights I've seen, he seems to have separation most of the time and if not, he'll go for the catch anyway.

Bowe qualities- Size, YAC, Jumping ability, physical-ness, breaking tackles, decent hands at worst, good seperation, nice routes

Tedd Ginn qualities- speed, shifty with jukes

Bess qualities- Possesion type guy, fights for yards, great hands, good routes and reliable

Then add turner and hartline to that recieving corps... Get it done FO, id say even for a first and camarillo..

i also say go for Bowe. the pioli/ parcells thing could pay off also. he could give us some what of a discount.

I wish our front office thought like you.

Not a 1st.....We need a BOSS NT like Suh or Cody or a predator LB like Spikes....of course, none of those guys will be available @ 32.....

it does make it hard to run to the outside with little weak recivers blocking...bowe would help there and on third downs

Bowe is probably the only guy I'd look at on that list.

ditto. would ya offer a #1? I think parcells and co. will wait myself. We might move up in this draft. Our roster is starting to look filled up but BP would probably go after a NT before going after a diva.

So I guess we`re just assuming these teams want to trade their talented WR`s now so that next year they can trade for a talented WR!

Afterall KC got rid of a older TG, so who are they going to throw to.....

Oakland has nobody that`s better then ours....

St.Louis just drafted Avery and this draft they will take a QB and they need someone to throw to.....

TB has just drafted a QB and may play this maybe next so why would they get rid of the only talented WR, oh ya didn`t he get on the bad side of BP as well.....

You would have to look at Arizona if they lose again but that`s gonna cost a 1st and 3rd I bet.....

Or the unpopular decision but probably the most likely to actually have a chance to do is to call Buffalo and get TO for a mid round pick 4th or 5th.....

My way would be to leave things the way they are and see if a strong relationship developes with Henne and the Wr`s. Funny thing is I`d bet this is exactly what will happen, BP isn`t a big trader for this types of deals. He looks for the value trades like what brought Akin,Fasano, Fergy all here.

It's not about all those teams giving up their go to guys, but some of them may. the Broncos were openly shopping Brandon Marshall for a while. The Browns gave up their #1 WR. Why not at least one other team?

The fact is that those teams have problems that go deeper than their WR core. Who cares how good your main receiver is if your O-Line can't protect your QB? Same goes if the defense allows the other team to control the tempo and time of possession. Those issues are far more important than keeping a receiver.

As many NFL analysts say, games are won and lost in the trenches. That can be applied to the success of a franchise. Those who have solid O-Line and D-Lines are the elite teams in the league and always have a shot to go the distance.

With all due respect, how can you possibly mention Braylon Edwards with TO and Moss?

Living in NE Ohio, I am force-fed Browns games every Sunday, and I can assure you that Braylon Edwards is hardly a 'marquee' receiver.

Is he more 'talented' than any of our WRs? Perhaps. But, he is routinely blanketed by average CBs in this league.
