Meh ... I'd rather we sign a LB

I was very worried about Clay's injury when it was described during the scrimmage. It sounded like an MCL to me.

Of course, the media has an attention span of a 3 year old so they have moved on to other ****.

It's like this major unsolved mystery Hayden. I saw someplace he is week to week so it's not just a slight thing might be an MCL.

The Texans head coach said Brown had fallen to 5th on the depth chart.

O'Brien said the RB plan was Grimes, then Blue, then Dennis Johnson. No time left for Andre Brown with so few offensive plays.

Interesting. 5th on the depth chart. He did seemingly well with the Giants.. I'd think that would translate to another team even if they were deep at RB

What happened? McL? Was it a strain?

Clay was hurt in the scrimmage. The team doesn't really give a lot of injury information out when it's not the regular season. Therefore, we don't know the exact injury or projected timetable for his return but if you go by what we see he is not practicing not really doing any real rehab so something like an MCL etc could maybe be the case.

I am NOT reporting or making a statement. I just think Clay is dinged up way more than any of the beat reporters think.

If Clay really is banged up enough to threaten his week one status I really hope we don't take the same approach to roster construction we did last year with DB's and end up carrying a ton of TE's on the final 53, with a guy or two that doesn't deserve it, rather than a WR or RB that deserves it. Our lack of need for a 5th WR last year lasted about a month into the season, and we would have been immensely better off over the stretch run if we had a competent receiver who could have taken snaps along with Matthews, Hartline, and Wallace. Marlon Moore couldn't do what we needed last year, and a guy like Tyms or that guy I can't even remember would have helped a lot.
