WR Tryout...

I read on a Marshall University forum that Marshall WR, Darius Passmore is getting a tryout with the Dolphins. Since I went to Marshall, I watched him through his career. He is a tremendous athlete, shifty, and quick. Projected as a 5th or 6th rounder, but slipped off the radar. He ran a form of the wildcat for us, we called wild hog. Any chance he makes the team in some capacity. I know he is likely just getting a tryout due to Chad and his ties with Marshall, but im pulling for the guy.

it's going to be tough with the depth we have at WR right now, but i guess anything can happen once the pads go on.

It seems as if Armstrong is continuing his ways from last year's preseason..looking good so far and got Sparano to say something about him in his interview today.. so if this kid is getting a tryout, he must be a acorn that everyone else missed..

a WVU grad i presume? My brother graduated from WVU and me from Marshall, so i dont mind WVU too much unless we are playing them. Passmore had a many big plays against you guys before hurting his leg on the 07 game.

nah, i'm still in school. going to be a junior in the fall. passmore does sound familiar, but i was probably way too drunk at the game to remember haha.

Passamore was pretty good from what I saw of him....I wanted us to use a 7th rounder on him, but we never did.

Yep, last year it seemed like he was always being mentioned in relation to a "long" pass. He seems to be good enough. How long can we hide him on the practice squad anyway in case of injury???
